PUERTO VALLARTA NOV 14
Thank you for a wonderful vacation and experience!
Casa Del Leones Beach Getaway Begins! Touching down in Puerto Vallarta airport the warm air welcomes us as well as the 105 cab drivers who try to get our business. As Megan maneuvers her way through customs and gets a green light I clinch my Advil PM drugged jaw and hope my light turns green too. I made it...this time‌I was not so lucky last time... and David is there to pick us up to start our Puerto Vallarta November 2014 trip!
SPARKLING POOL Day one starts with a cool dip in the sparking pool watching the local vegetarians nibble on some of the foliage on the 2 story wall. I decided to catch up on a few emails. Sally was moving and shaking putting remarkable deals together. Megan is sleeping in. But we are all already thinking about what’s for lunch!.....Daiquiri Dicks‌.even Bentley licked his lips.
Y NOT A day for sea faring and fun! The whole crew plus Daniel enjoyed the day. We saw dolphins swimming in our wake, flying stingrays, and a swordfish jump out of the water. After landing on a cool beach and enjoying the local hospitality we took a dip in the ocean and headed back home to a night of wine, salad, and roasted chicken.
LAUGHING “Are there sharks in bay?” Sally says. Daniel replies “I don’t know” “Not even Great Blacks?” We all laugh….”yes only in Mexico they have the shark known as the Great Blacks..and there is snake behind you Brandi” Scream...now I am sitting on the ground next to Sally!
DOG SHAMPOO Bentley knows how to pose for a picture. His model chic comes through as he was the highlight of the secluded beach. Nothing phased him as he splashed in the surf and relaxed under the table. Nothing like a bath on board the boat. This where Megan suggested to David he wash Bentley with dog shampoo. And David quickly replies...do you have some in your purse? We laughed so hard.
BEACHES Need I say more!
COLORS There were amazing colors on this trip from the reddest sunset we have ever seen to color full candies. I was introduced to these candies when we were on the boat trip and Sally exclaims “the nuts are here! I am afraid to turn around thinking there are crazy jungle people behind me. When I turn I see an amazing assortment of candies and nuts neatly displayed on a cart. The nuts did indeed arrive. Present company included;0)
WINE AND TILE Tile- A hot topic of the trip. Finding the right tile for the house and the bathroom went to the last minutes of the trip. We also enjoyed the topic of wine and especially Pinot Noir! The girls really liked the Chilean or Argentine Pinot’s.
FRIENDSGIVING OMG we ate so much at our favorite restaurant...Cafe De Artistes! Then we had to dance our butts off till 3 in the morning. We ate soooo much foooood. From Octopus Carpaccio, Duck– Suckling Pig– Short Rib Trio of tacos, espresso mouse gelato affogato, wine, to after dinner cocktails...ohhhh soooo much fooood!
ALL INCLUSIVE Apparently the hotels and resorts are all inclusive...or at least the ones Megan and I accidently snuck into‌..
BIRTHDAYS Happy Birthday Sally!!! WE laughed so hard on this dinner excursion on the river!
ZOO LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS‌..yes they had them all. Our first view of the lion exhibit was of them mating...need I say more of how comical our zoo visit went. Next the monkeys got into a screaming match and all the big cats started freaking out. We steered clear of the ostriches as they looked like they could just walk out of their enclosure. There were monkeys, reindeer, camels, ponies, bunnies, flamingos and our visit with the monkeys and tigers!!! It was a fun and funny trip to the zoo We kept all our fingers that day...
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
