Dear Friends, As we all reflect on life, we ultimately come to the conclusion that there are things we really want to do, things we really should do and things we have to do. It is with reminiscent heart that Glenna and I have made the difficult decision to disperse our registered cattle, semen and embryos. It is now time for us to scale back. God has blessed us immensely with so many relationships within the cattle business and with so many great cattle events and accomplishments. It is difficult to be upset that this time has come, but it does bring years of reflection on the past. On April 20th and 21st, we will be selling approximately 60 cows (most being pairs), 32 open heifers, 8 herd sires and 10 other breeding age bulls, including semen and embryo inventories. A special “THANK YOU” to Allan Roberts and Indian Valley Ranch who will be joining us to sell their registered cattle, semen and embryo inventories during this special event. Our goal for the future will be to raise quality half Fleckvieh commercial replacement females to be consigned to future QUEST sales. Yes, the QUEST will continue as usual, being scheduled on the fourth Saturday of each September here at the ranch. Jim Ethridge and Larry Throgmorton have agreed to be your hosts, thus the QUEST for the BEST will continue as so many breeders have requested. Glenna, John and I hope to see you at the special event on April 20 & 21, 2012 at the ranch and have the opportunity to reminisce about the past and discuss the exciting future of our breed. We also look forward to visiting with you again in September during the QUEST to see the results of your breeding decisions as we continue to make our tremendous cattle even better. A warm welcome to a true historic event for Full Fleckvieh gene cs in North America. I am not aware of an opportunity of this magnitude to have taken place before in the United States and most definitely it will be the place to access the many years of work, dedica on and sincere Quest for the Best goals of both ranches. We have spent countless hours on trying to provide you as much informa on as possible to help with your decisions for the future. The herd bulls speak for themselves thru their own progeny and acceptance within the industry. NEVER have we sold this number of true herd bulls on any given day and only because of these true herd dispersals will it happen on April 20th & 21st. The donor cows and cow families again speak for themselves. The large amount of open heif‐ ers, many of which are true donor prospects, have all been held open for the new owner. They were held open to eliminate any ques ons regarding light bred or open and are true virgin heifers. Please note that all semen from Lot 134 on and all embryos sell Friday, April 20th star ng at 2PM. In closing, I would ask you to look at the inside cover of the catalog for a eye opening statement of fact, the consistency and quality of the last twelve years from both Dollars Diamond D Ranch & Indian Valley Ranch along with our guest consignors.
