The Magnolia Classic 2019 •

Greetings from Little Creek Cattle. As some know, and for those that don’t, Little Creek Cattle is entering into a new era. Backed up by what was in place previously at Little Creek Farm and at Vantage Point Farm, Nikki and I are pleased to offer a sampling of what has been in the works over the last three years. As always, we have stayed grounded in our faith for Fleckvieh and Fleckvieh- based genetics. We will continue, with strategies geared to think outside of the box, to introduce tried and true genetics to develop Fullbloods and Fleck-based breeding pieces. We hope this year will be a year of inspiration for fellow producers…A year where all can utilize the fine genetics we, at Little Creek and our established guest consignors, have to offer. I assure you, the animals being offered are top end and should suit most, if not all, production schemes. Nikki, and I remain grateful for the continued support and interest in the animals we and our fellow breeders produce. First, and foremost, we give all glory to God! Without Him, none of this would be possible. Most know this has been a difficult time for our family, but He has blessed us far more than we realize. One of His many blessings is the support we have received from Nikki’s family and our cherished friends, whom have become family. Your love, support, prayers and faith have carried us through. Know we appreciate and love y’all! To Doc and Mary Cheek, we thank you for the opportunity to take the reins and continue your legacy in the Fleckvieh world. We will strive to only improve upon the Little Creek reputation. Good luck in viewing these fine Fleckvieh/Fleckvieh-based animals, and choosing what will fit your needs best. We hope all will be able to leave The Magnolia Classic with their top picks! The future is bright for these genetics! Let’s keep the momentum going! With greatest appreciation,
Jason Gress

• For your consideration, once again, a high quality female coming out of the mating of Little Creek Xpress 840X and Lyda 206L. We’ve seen quality from years’ past offspring of this mating, and it has not changed in these females. Good shoulder, good rib, good hip, good legs….that is what you see when studying these females. Bred to FGAF Guerrero for calving ease, type and increased capacity. This calf should be something special.

• Another female that deserves to be in any front pasture! 509E exemplifies what we strive for at Little Creek in female development. She is stout in her make, but still feminine in her appearance. She moves freely on an attractive leg set, with ample capacity for efficient food conversion. She is one of the few that we bred to Anchor D Raptor, and boy the calf should be real good!

• A favorite at Little Creek since birth, 517E should be a keeper for us, but we still have the factory. Her dam has hit twice for us bred to Radium, this heifer and the outstanding polled bull now owned by Brad Ballew of Old Magnolia Farm. This heifer and the full sibling mentioned are polled, correctly made, and gain more than appropriately….they are both the complete package, with the most desirable temperament. This heifer is ultra-easy going, as we expected. One of our favorites, as we expect her to be at her new home. Bred to Guerrero for a potential homozygous polled calf!

• In the interest of stirring the pedigree pot, here is a heifer out of the WLSF Pegner female via Little Creek Zeus 139Z. As Mason, of Faulkner Farms, would likely tell you, Zeus has thrown some high quality calves, while throwing in a twist of pedigree. This female has good rib structure, great length of hip and all while showing good femininity. She is bred to FSS Maximus to infuse that additional dimension of outcross genetics.

• LCF 524E is one of our embryo offspring resulting from the flush of one of our most consistent females, HGF Miss Sabargon S613. Sabargon was purchased to infuse functional “old school” genetics into both the Vantage Point and Little Creek herds. She has done that and then some. She has produced bulls that were top bull pen picks for buyers coming to Little Creek for herd sires, and she has produced top end females for us as well (VPFS Callie 10C to mention one). Sabargon has remained extremely fertile with age and I would expect this female to do the same. Buy with confidence, buy to start or build a herd. • For your consideration, we offer another outcross female. Nikki and I have been diligent in our strategy to introduce new genetics into the herd and 550E is another example. She comes from the flush mating of Bar 5 Hero 823M and the Mona 280M cow. I’m sure many recall that not too long ago the 280M genetics offered by Buzzard Hollow had a significant following. I would say this female demands as much consideration. She is correctly made with excellent capacity and her offering should pound the scales. Bred to Anchor T Legend. Wow! What a calf prospect!

This girl is backed up by consistency of production and pedigree. You’ll find C&B Western and Hackenberg in the pedigree line up of this big barreled female. The potential is GREAT! • WOW! And we do mean WOW! Look what we have here! If I’m basing sale order on pictures, this girl is a sale lead off candidate. Even as one of the younger sale females, she is put together into a very nice package. A halter may very well be justified. I must say, it is not surprising based on pedigree, she should be an outlier. A maternal halfsister to Brantz, out of Maximus, she will be a top producer for years to come. Confirmed pregnant, AI bred to FGAF Guerrero, what a prospect here, with tons of potential.

• Fiona is a fine example of the heifers being produced by Red Oak Tom 306A. Like her sisters, she was calved with no problem, has a calm disposition, and grew quickly. She has both eyes covered, a strong top line, and the pedigree to back up her potential as a front pasture cow in your herd. If you inspect this heifer and her ancestors, we feel you will want to take her home.

Her dam was purchased through this very sale. 8008F is a mahogany red, well pigmented daughter of Bar 5 Hexagon, owned by Faulkner Farms of Center Ridge, Arkansas. The Hexagon daughters are making superior cows in production. The Marda cow is a dominant female in South Africa and her decedents are proving it. • Rugged R Darla 8010F is only the second daughter of Willow Oaks Cache to sell publicly, the first the 2018 World Congress Champion Fullblood female for $8,000 to Bristol View Farms of Quebec. Cache is a paternal brother to the illustrious, Nickelback and Load herdsires. In the maternal quadrant of the pedigree, Darla features rock solid cow families. Her grand dam is a ¾ sister to the famed Diamond T Mona Lisa, covered by an own son of HGL Bruce over the MRLN Lucy cow lineage. She is polled, thick, deep, stacked in bloodlines, and bred to the ultra-complete Rugged R Cavill, owned by the Guttormson family of North Dakota. Having been halter broke and shown, she is an ideal candidate for the NAILE.

• Miss C J E701 is a young cow sired by Crossroad Radium and out of a Smithbilt Molson dam. Her conformation reflects her pedigree. This cow has depth, length, and a superior udder. When the picture was taken, she was still nursing a beautiful heifer calf, which I am keeping. She is front pasture quality and is bred to Outback of Double Bar D. Further, she does not carry a diluter gene. She should be a definite choice for your consideration.

ICC Polled Lady
• At Red Oak Farm, we love big boned, docile, German Fleckvieh cattle that are easy to handle and really press down on the scales. However, as we market our bulls to commercial producers, two traits always rise to the surface... horn and diluter status. Our breed is headed toward polled, non-dilutor cattle becoming the norm. Offered for your consideration in this lot are three quality embryos that check those two boxes without giving up those Fleckvieh traits that we all love. • Polled Lady, the dam of these embryos, is a powerful homozygous polled, non-dilutor cow that proved herself as a producer of quality Fleckvieh embryos and calves while at Little Creek. She has also produced top end Sim-angus F1 bulls since being purchased by Red Oak Farm at the 2014 Magnolia Classic. She is now 16 years old, still in production, and sound of foot. She was paired with Brantz to produce the powerful, polled embryos she is known for, while improving her frame score and adding extra docility to the calves. All embryos will be dilutor free and polled with a 50% chance each will be homozygous polled. • Red Oak Foxy Lady, a homozygous polled full sibling to these embryos, will be on halter for your inspection on sale day.

Flush Little Creek Cattle, Inc.
• For your consideration, the opportunity to flush 1 of 3 of Little Creek’s top females. These 3 have been top notch individuals and producers for Little Creek. Little Creek Briana 523B was Grand Champion Junior and Grand Champion Open Fullblood Simmental female at NAILE in 2015. Little Creek Dasha 473D was a top placing female, with many Grand Champion titles, at numerous shows, but more importantly, produced 17 high quality embryos as a virgin heifer! Looking into pedigree, Bri portrays a pedigree that promotes herd building. Of course she is an Xpress daughter, but her bottom side reads IVR Olympia R120, a Hafke direct descendent. Dasha, was Bri’s first calf, and is another high quality Radium female. As you can see, both stacked with pedigree…two of Little Creek’s finest! Dominance AVD12 is our final flush option being offered. Dominance is a full flushmate sister to two outstanding bulls sold from Little Creek as herd bulls. The bulls performed exceptionally well, offering the Fleck influence to boost weaning weights, improve structure, and certainly improve maternal traits. Dominance has been flushed and produced in double digits, indicating above average reproductive traits. Flush any of these females and improve your herd, it’s that simple. • Offering one flush to the sire of your choice, with a guarantee of 6 viable embryos and a 50% conception rate if ET work performed by an AETA certified embryologist. Work to be done at Little Creek Cattle, at the buyer’s expense.

• We offer Crossroad Radium 789U for your consideration in your next heifer or cow mating. We believe that Radium is the bull to use in any situation, and it would appear that we are in good company with numerous other Canadian and U.S. breeders using him on heifers and mature females. Radium makes high quality females and bulls, stamping them consistently with extremely correct conformation, spring of rib, and that style that catches your eye in the pasture or the show ring. He is a proven calving ease specialist. • Jason Gress and Antietam Valley Farm continue to be the sole marketers in the U.S. for the semen on this proven bull.
