Indonesia is a traveler’s delight as it has more than 17,000 islands extending into the Pacific and Indian oceans. In addition, it has naturally enchanting tropical forests, hiking trails and beaches, making it a destination to visit at least once in life. GO BEYOND BALI The city of Bali is popular with many visitors to the country. However, there are many more locations and cultures beyond it. Those interested in heritage can include Yogyakarta, while nature and wildlife enthusiasts should consider Komodo and other islands like Lombok and Sulawesi.

VISA REQUIREMENTS Indonesia offers free visa options to citizens of more than 100 countries, so confirm whether this applies or if a formal visa application is required. With the free visa option, all that’s needed is a valid passport. Fees can be charged to foreigners entering the country, with this often included in the ticket price.

A C C O M M O D AT I O N In popular cities such as Bali and Jakarta, accommodation options are plenty and varied to all budgets. In smaller towns, the options can be limited.
