BREEDING RETURNS TO A ‘NEAR NORMAL’ SEASON
Thispast year, post Covid-19, has seen a return to what might be considered as ‘near normal’ for the world of sport horse breeding in terms of traditional events. However, 2022 also heralded a year of global conflicts arising from the war in the Ukraine – financially, socially, and economically unpredictable challenges – with no end currently in sight.
The Covid years generated many positive new studbook initiatives that are continuing in terms of hybrid and ‘onlive’ auctions. However, we have also seen a somewhat worrying upswing in ‘pop-up’ auctions – not always reputable and transparent – creating an uprecedented market for frozen embryos. Despite economic tightening around the globe, a world of nouveau riche customers are continuing to invest and perhaps creating a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ generation of sport horse breeders with questionable knowledge and expertise.
Our hope, therefore, is that you will once again put your trust in the information presented in the pages of this 2023 edition of the BREEDING NEWS WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY, a familiar, honest friend that continues to be an invaluable addition to every breeders’ toolbox.
This 2023 edition of the WBFSHBN Stallion Directory, is the 19th of a perpetual series – and the fifth time it has been published exclusively online, and now completely free of charge! This is the only ‘global’ stallion database that is ‘live’ for 365 days a year, with entries offering self management by stallion owners and representatives who can independently add/ update information, making it even more accurate and efficient.
Through our Directory the answers to many questions will be answered, unreservedly. It’s as simple as that: a key... a resource. Year after year we have endeavoured to present infor-
mation from the stallion databases developed by member studbooks of the WBFSH. Step by step. From four thousand stallions recorded on our database during the first year, increasing to over 10,000 curated entries in 2023. As the volume of studbooks and breeders is expanding every year, they are the best witnesses to our progression and professionalism.
Continuous improvement is our goal to better inform you, the breeders, and provide a window into the world of sport horse breeding. We also answer basic questions – what are the dominant bloodlines. Or, more anecdotally, what is the average age of active stallions, the dominant colour?
This is why, for the 14th year in a row, the WBFSH is supporting our initiative. This renowned Federation’s logo on our front cover is our motivation, our encouragement.
Our thanks go to all the private stallion owners who are primarily concerned with the Directory entries, and to those studbooks who every year are providing reliable information. We are also extremely grateful to our faithful and regular advertisers, whose valuable partnerships have taught us the meaning of mutual respect and loyal support, some over many years.
Thanks to Xavier Libbrecht and Jean and Peter Llewellyn who have made this BN journey possible for the past 27 years, as well as our many correspondents around the world for their consistently valuable contributions. WORLD BREEDING NEWS wouldn’t be the same without them.
Now, dear readers, dear breeders, let us be proactive and provocative: Help us to help you. If you notice any omissions or errors, please email us at editor@breedingnews.com. It’s all about team work.

This19th edition of the BREEDING NEWS
WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY once again reflects consistent improvement and is maintained year-round to reflect the upto-date information provided to us by studbooks, stud farms, and individual breeders. We extend our thanks to them for their involvement and continued support. This year, the stallions and contacts appear online as a unique interactive database, where owners can self manage their stallions, adding and updating information. A major step forward for breeding in a world where technology is an essential tool.
PART I: THE STALLION LIST
• Life number: While some studbooks have embraced the UELN concept, there are others who have yet to adopt this universal numbering system for birth registrations. A pity, since registration numbers are essential for accurately tracking horses whose names may change several times during their sporting careers.
• Year of birth and pedigree: Virtually 100%
• Size and colour: Included in the database where provided by studbooks.
• Breeder, studbook of origin: It continues to be frustrating that some studbooks and independent breeders often fail to acknowledge or publish this information – which is somewhat schocking when they would undoubtedly wish this for themselves. So, dear breeders, please take pride in your role and honour the accomplishments of others by sharing this information with us and the rest of the world. Breeders are the most important component in this project, alongside the stallions themselves.
• Approval studbooks: A unique aspect of our Directory, as an increasing number of ‘star’ stallions are regularly approved by more than one studbook, even if they are not recognized by their own birth studbook. Ironic!
PART II: CONTACTS
We continue to strive for alphabetical integrity by using primary names to better facilitate the search process and, hopefully, avoid any foreign language confusion.
The breeder who owns one stallion is as important as one who owns 20 or more. By cross-referencing every stallion entry (where the owner is known), our Directory database has become a valuable ‘interactive’ source. This is why it is unique, and why the searchable online database provides the ability to sort stallions by specified criteria. Power at your fingertips, although when contact information is minimal or unrecorded so a vital link is lost.

THE LEGEND OF DIAMANT DE SEMILLY IS GROWING...
Comparedto last year’s Sires of Sires ranking there are no changes in the top eight, and the volume of approved/licensed sons seems to have hit a road block. Maybe this can be attributed to the Covid era years – 2020 and 2021 – when stallion shows everywhere were being organized behind closed doors, and border crossings and travel restrictions were seriously limiting transportation options. Or perhaps we are simply seeing a plateau of no decipherable origins?
Either way, the Selle Français Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de SemillyVenise des Cresles x Elf III) has consolidated his lead, once again, with a few more sons over last year. Certainly, his sport partnership with Eric Levallois generated incredible impact in showjumping breeding. He has, for example, founded his own stallion lines outside France, in Germany and Belgium, through stallions such as Diarado or Emerald van’t Ruytershof, respectively. Also Selle Français, Quidam de Revel (Jalisco B - Dirka x Nankin) had a good career under the saddles of, first, Hervé Godignon (fourth individually at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games), and later with Thomas Velin, and remains in second with 110 sons. Coincidentally, one son Quel Homme de Hus is currently in the top 20 of the Longines jumping ranking with Belgian Jérôme Guéry, while another son, Verdi, is now working on his career as sire following his career in top sport with Maikel van der Vleuten.
Sandro Hit (Sandro Song - Loretta x Ramino) has dropped to fourth but with the
same number as last year, with his best known sons being Sir Donnerhall I/II and Samba Hit I/II.
The embryo transfer/ICSI era is working well for Cornet Obolensky (ClintonRabanna van Costersveld x Heartbreaker) who enjoyed a top career in sport under the saddle of Marco Kutscher. Proven sons such as Comme il faut NRW, as well as upand-comer Crack will continue his legacy.
Kannan is also on the rise, with seven more sons, although the gaps above and below have once again kept him in fifth place. Still inside the top 10, Sandro Hit, Baloubet du Rouet, Contender I, Darco, and Cassini I have all maintained their same volume of sons.
Interestingly, while Casall lost three sons last year, his new total of 77 represents a major increase, up from 67 last year. Also on the rise, which is quite startling given that he was lost to ‘live’ breeding a dozen years ago, For Pleasure refuses to be surpassed, and he added six more names to his repertoire, which likely speaks about the quality of his frozen semen.
Two other stallions with posthumous gains are Quick Star and Catoki, both with three additional sons.
And it would be remiss of us not to look to a star sire that has jumped 10 places in the ranking list; Chacco-Blue. Given his tremendous popularity among today’s breeders, and his products’ auction results over the past year, we could be looking at a new number one sire over the next decade. ■

CONTENDER: COUNTING THE YEARS AT THE TOP
Witha substantial buffer of 26 mares, it’s highly unlikely that Contender will lose his crown without a major challenge from one of his nearest rivals. It’s noticeable that Carthago and Quidam de Revel appear to have plateaued, likewise the stallions of dams from fourth down to 14th place.
However, now ranked 15th, Diamant de Semilly, made exceptional gains in the past year, with an additional 12 mares to his name – the second-largest increase of any sire in this table.
Meanwhile Sir Donnerhall I (18th) delivered the largest increase – 13 mares –jumping from 34th to 18th place overall.
Other stallions whose names are worth noting are: Sandro Hit with five additional dams (11 th ); Heartbreaker (+3) 9th; De Niro (+5) 12 th ; Caretino (+3) 16 th ; Stakkato (+5) 24 th ; Chin Chin (+4) 32nd
Contender
Finally, although he’s still sitting towards the bottom of the table, ranked 37th, Kannan added eight dams to his name, now bringing his total to 37.
In terms of interesting facts, Carthago (Capitol I - Perra x Calando I) has been holding onto second place thanks to the popularity of his daughters in Belgium. Zangersheide-bred mare Cadence du Ruisseau Z has produced two 1m60 jumpers: Cadet du Ruisseau and Cirus du Ruisseau, both by Chellano Z. Another Zangersheide-bred mare Cajandra Z (Jalanda x Latus I), descends from one of Paul Schockemöhle’s marelines and is
mother to the stallion Conthargos (Converter I), the 1m60 jumping mare Chacandra (Chacco-Blue), plus 10 other offspring with sport results.
Another Schockemöhle-bred Zangersheide-registered mare is Capua Z (Grand Royale x Sandro), mother to three 1m60 horses: Bonaire 5 (Baloubet du Rouet), Take me 2 (Nintender), and Diathago (Diarado), plus nine more with sport results.
Quidam de Revel (Jalisco B - Dirka x Nankin) retains his third place, but with 88 daughters for the third year in a row. His BWP-bred daughter Arizona van Arenberg is mother to the approved and 1m60 stallion Utamaro d’Ecaussines (Diamant de Semilly), with three out of five offspring competing. BWPbred mare BeautyBelle van’t Roosakker (La Belle van Sombeke x Goliath Z) is mother to 1m60 jumper VDL Groep Eureka (Chin Chin) as well as the 1m50 FaBelle van’t Roosakker (Berlin). BWP-bred mare Bellissima d’Ive (Birke III x Landgraf I) is mother to For Passion d’Ive Z (For Pleasure), jumping at 1m65, plus three other good competitors.
Remarkably, although Ramiro (Raimond - Valine x Cottago Son xx) climbed into fourth place last year with 85 daughters, his has now dropped to sixth with the loss of no fewer than 11 dams. One of his best known daughters is the KWPN-bred mare Elottie W (Oklahoma x Farn), who has produced several

TOPS STALLIONS offers fresh semen from world class BACARDI VDL (Corland x Kannan) and CINSEY (Contendro I x For Pleasure) – two stallions that have been the most impressive jumpers on the international showjumping circuit, including winning 5* Grand Prix classes. Both have the quality you rarely see in this sport.
BACARDI VDL has everything and is now available with fresh semen alongside CINSEY for the 2023 breeding season at Tops Stallions in Valkenswaard. It is a huge opportunity for breeders to use the genetics from these special sires, as well as a very interesting young stallion in the Tops collection.
HORIZONTAL, by the great Casall, out of sport-approved mare Mel D‘Argence (Quick Star) is a highly promising youngster in the stable of Olympian Maikel van der Vleuten, and his fresh semen is also offered via TOPS STALLIONS.
JAN TOPS is a breeder and globally respected businessman who is convinced that BACARDI VDL and CINSEY are great options for the breeding world. He explains:
“BACARDI VDL has been one of the most impressive horses in international top level sport. We have enjoyed his great canter, powerful jump, and his intelligence as a showjumper for many years and we recognize these positive attributes in his offspring. He has so far been rarely used for breeding, but has already had successful offspring at the highest level.”
Regarding CINSEY, Jan Tops says; “This stallion is such a beautiful type, has an interesting pedigree, and has always shown great sporting ability and amazing rideability during his career. He is the total package as a breeding stallion and highly interesting to use as we need his characteristics in the modern sport.”

1m60 horses, including Amadeus (Guidam) and HBR Tennessee W (Concorde). Or the Holsteiner-bred mare Batallion B (Variation x Ladalco) – dam of three 1m60 jumping horses: Colesbero (Corofino I), HH Corde Classique (Cor de la Bryére), and Chanoc (Caretino), plus seven others also in sport. KWPN-bred mare Carta (Karta x Millerole xx) produced three offspring by Libero H that jumped at 1m60: Midaro W Da Zara, Iron Horse Nicarta, and Mirage 89.
Cassini I (Capitol I - Wisma x Caletto II) ranked fourth, has neither gains nor losses to his name: 79 daughters for the second year running. As a sire he was a good match to Caretino (Caletto II - Isidor x Metellus) and one could say the same about his damsire relationship with Diarado (Diamant de Semilly - Roxette I x Corrado I): For example, 1m65 showjumper Dicas (Viktoria XVII). The SI-MIPAAF-bred mare Sophia di San Giovanni (Elise VII) is the dam of 1m65 Zaia di San Giovanni (Cornet Obolensky) and five other sport horses. The Holsteiner-bred mare Casablanca La Silla (Giant Tschica x Tin Rocco) gave 1m65 jumper Rebeca La Silla, plus four more sport horses.
The first dressage-bred stallion in the top 10 is Donnerhall (Donnerwetter -
Ninette x Markus) who moved up from sixth to fifth place with 75 daughters. His Oldenburger-bred daughter Arkona (Arwaldis x Walldorf I) produced two Grand Prix horses: Florimax and Flirt, both by Florencio I, plus four other good competitors. Another Oldenburger-bred mare, Contenance D (Contenance II x Feldherr) produced Grand Prix dressage stallion Sir Donnerhall II, as well as approved stallions Sir Donnerhall I and Rubberball (Rubinstein I). Hanoverian-bred Donata K (Wenke K x Walt Disney I) produced Grand Prix dressage and approved stallion Deveraux 3 (Depardieu).
The BWP stallion Darco (Lugano van la Roche - Ocoucha x Codex) has added one daughter to his tally. Notably, the BWPbred Atoucha van’t Roosakker (Usha van’t Roosakker x Chin Chin) produced two 1m60 jumping horses: Electra van’t Roosakker and Falco van het Roosakker, while BWP-bred Carrera de Muze (Walnut de Muze x Nabab de Reve) is mother to two 1m60 horses: Caiparinja (Taran de la Pomme) and J’Adore van het Schaeck (Vagabond de la Pomme).
The SBS-bred mare Narcotique de Muze II (Qerly Chin x Chin Chin) gave a noteworthy 27 offspring, including five 1m60 jumpers: Querlybet Hero (Baloubet du Rouet) – an approved stallion – plus Loro Piana Boyante de Muze (Kashmir van Schuttershof), Farfelu de la Pomme (Vigo d’Arsouilles), Sea Coast Ferly (Calato).
Weltmeyer (World Cup I - Anka x Absatz), now ranked seventh with 66 daughters is the only other dressage-bred stallion in the top 10. His Hanoverian-bred daughter Welfenkrone (Gondola x Graphit) is mother to three approved stallions: Sherwood and Sherwood Forest (Sherlock Holmes), and Don Cora-
zon (Don Frederico), plus GP dressage horse Dai Jin (Don Frederico) and four additional sport horses.
Heartbreaker (Nimmerdor - Bacarole x Silvano), ninth with 65 daughters, including Azuela de Muze (Narcotique de Muze II x Darco) who produced two at 1m60: Felini de la Pomme (Vigo d’Arsouilles) and Vedet de Muze ET (Cartani) – the latter also being approved. The BWP-bred Contesse van’t Zorgvliet (Verona van’t Zorgvliet x Skippy II) is the dam of 1m65 jumping horse and approved stallion For Joy van’t Zorgvliet HDC (For Pleasure).
Now closing out the top 10, with the same number of daughter as last year, Voltaire (Furioso II - Gogo Moeve x Gotthard) with 64. The Oldenburger-bred Astaire (Anastasia Z x Almé) gave 1m60 jumper Kokain (Come On) plus two other sport horses. Ecolien (Zarika x Sultan) is KWPN-bred, and mother to two 1m60 jumping horses: Paulien (Koriander) and Ulien (Karandsj), the Grand Prix dressage horse Marnix (Hinault), plus seven others in sport.
The line of Almè x Ibrahim continues to be strongly represented through stallions such as Quidam de Revel, Jalisco B, Galoubet A, Papillon Rouge, and Quick Star. Cor de la
Bryére is even more influential, representing himself in 27th place with 44 daughters (one more than last year), and also via Contender, Caretino, Corrado I, Calido I, Calypso II, Chin Chin, Caletto I and Corofino I.
It should be noted that the influence of embryo transfer and ICSI is already starting to show as Carthago, Darco and Heartbreaker all have daughters that have produced unnatural numbers of offspring. For example; Carthina Z (Carthago) lists 43 offspring (of which three are still frozen embryos); Panama du Seigneur (Darco) with 35; Hiamant van’t Roosakker (Diamant de Semilly - Atoucha van ’t Roosakker x Darco) with 22. The latter’s full sister Gatoucha van’t Roosakker also has 25 offspring to her name, while Cordula de Laubry (For Pleasure - Uganda de Laubry x Darco) has 30. With regard specifically to Carthina Z – her production has remarkably almost doubled in the past year along.
One stallion who continues to rise inside the top 50 is the leader of our ‘sire of sires’ table, and the previously mentioned Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly - Venise des Cresles x Elf III). Diamant’s sire, Le Tot de Semilly (Grand Veneur - Venue du Tot x Juriste), who died in 2009, is also climbing and is currently 27th. Similarly, the long-deceased For Pleasure (Furioso II - Gigantin x Grannus) have moved up to 35th.
Although there may now be younger stallions who are beginning their rise outside this top 40, generational advantages for many of these legendary names will remain strong, especially when one recalls that Ramiro was born 57 years ago? Only time will tell whether modern reproductive technology will finally bring a surge of new names as patience takes a back seat to nouveau riche breeders seeking instant gratification results. ■
PAUL SCHOCKEMÖHLE: A VETERAN’S LEGACY
There’s a remarkable irony in the fact that the breeder who has worn our Stallion Directory crown since 2015 has himself never been awarded as the leading breeder in any discipline on the WBFSH rankings.
Having recently celebrated his 78th birthday (March 22, 2023), Paul Schockemöhle’s advancing years have done nothing to slow his success as a breeder. Indeed, quite the opposite, as he is now partnering with Danish dressage supremo Andreas Helgstrand, and their jointly bred Torveslettens Titanium RS2 (Totilas x Stedinger) appears in the WBFSH dressage rankings for the first time at the end of the 2021-22; ridden into 39th place by Dutch team member Marieke van der Putten.
Coincidentally, PS doesn’t appear as the breeder of any of the top 40 in the WBFSH showjumping rankings, although his exceptional herd of world-class stallions have undoubtedly stamped the progeny of more than a few of the leading breeders’ products.
Today, as you will see from our leading breeders’ table, Paul Schockemöhle has jumped from 92 to 101 own-bred, approved sires – and this number continues to rise consistently every year. Although statistics are not always the most truthful storytellers, in this case we may assume that this rise can be attributed to the quality of Chacco-Blue, who can now boast in excess of 164 approved sons – a phenomenal achievement.
Over the years, we have always tried to minimize the number of approved stallions listed in our database with ‘unknown’ breeder names, and have been able to maintain a deficiency of around 15%. Remarkably,
given that our database has touched 10,052 stallions this year, the number of unique breeders listed in 2022 has risen from 5,352 (2021) to 5,609, indicating an increase in ‘new’ and perhaps first-time breeders by around 5%.
Similarly, the leading breeders now account for 768 (730 in 2021) approved/ licensed stallions; a second annual increase over the 2020 total of 699. We can, therefore, say that our table of top breeders represents 7.6% of the total number of stallions approved/licensed by member studbooks of the WBFSH.
This year has seen a substantial increase and a rise to fourth place in the table for Wiepke van de Lageweg/VDL Stud – now trailing the everreliable and consistently improving Richard Levallois and Joris de Brabander by just two stallions.
Other breeders who have raised their game, each seeing a two-stallion increase are Heinrich Ramsbrock, Gerd Sosath, Fabrice and Guy Paris, Christian Bihl, and SCEA Riverland.
In 2022 we saw the first full breeding season post Covid, so we can now purposefully assume that the pandemic’s repercussions did not impact the sport horse breeding industry overall, although the financial fall-out is immeasurable.
We might also say that increase in 2022 approved/licensed stallions in this year’s Directory – over 400 – could be attributable to the limitations experienced by studbooks with regard to stallion shows and licensings during the Covid-19 years. ■
LEADING BREEDERS (ACCORDING
Notes:
• Column two shows the previous year’s ranking position, while column four shows the number of approved/licensed stallions attributed to each breeder as at the end of 2021.
• There is a negative impact on breeder ranking when stallions have died, been castrated, or had their approval/licensing revoked which resulted in their removal from the Stallion Directory database.
• ‘ex’ = ex aecquo = equality in the volume of stallions.

KING EDWARD (BWP) (EDWARD 28 X FEO) BRED BY WIM IMPENS
King Edward is Olympic and World Championship royalty ridden by Swedish international Henrik von Eckermann, and has been assessed to currently be the world’s most valuable showjumper.
Born on May 21, 2010, King Edward is by the dressage stallion Edward 28, out of Koningin de Lauzelle, a daughter of Feo. King Edward has been described as a ‘buzzy horse, whose relentless energy needs careful management and understanding’. According to Henrik, who refers to King Edward as his ‘masterpiece’; “He is a machine, an unbelievable animal.”
In the early days, however, King Edward gave some cause for concern as he appeared to suffer from foot pressure without exhibiting signs of lameness. A chance conversation with French international showjumper Julien Epaillard provided a timely answer to the problem: to try going shoeless. Although as Henrik explains, jumping a barefoot horse takes a lot of work to keep his feet in good shape and condition, and paying close attention to surfaces. That, and maintaining a handy supply of mango or papaya-flavoured treats – the gelding’s favourite.
King Edward’s breeder, Wim Impens hails from the East Flemish town of Ressegem in Belgium and got into breeding through his father and grandfather, who took him to stallion shows at a young age, and encouraged Wim to share his ideas freely. He now does the same with his sons, who are also involved in the family breeding operation.
When Wim Impens sold King Edward at the age of 18 months, he changed hands several times before finally arriving with Ines de Vos, who jumped with him in the Belgian Championships for seven-year-olds. The dark-chestnut’s talent was immediately recognized and he subsequently found his way into Janika’s hands. Impens recalls that he chose Edward 28 as the sire for Koningin de Lauzelle because he’d completed very good saddle tests in Germany, with a very high index in both jumping and dressage. “I simply wanted to breed a versatile horse.” As an amateur rider and self-declared hobby breeder, Impens declares his great pride in breeding a product such as King Edward, but saying his first priority is to breed a horse to train and ride himself in order to maintain financial feasibility, never believing he would breed a world champion.
For King Edward and Henrik von Eckermann, success came early in 2023 as the pair clinched a second superb victory of the season at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2022/2023 Western European League qualifier in Basel, Switzerland, perhaps heralding a second title for Wim Impens as the world’s leading breeder at the end of the 2022-23 season. ■

TSF DALERA BB (TRAK) (EASY GAME X HENDRYK) BRED BY SILKE DRUCKENMÜLLER
TSP Dalera BB has carried Jessica von Bredow-Werndl to top FEI placings since their partnership began in 2016. Since then, the pair have danced under the spotlight in arenas around the world, including Olympic, European and World Championship success.
Dalera’s breeder, Silke Druckenmüller, had no background with horses, only finding her way to them through a riding school. She then came to breeding by chance, became captivated by the foals, and couldn’t escape once she started breeding, delighted admitting that her success has essentially “been all luck.” It was through her connections and many years of friendship to the late breeder of Mon Clair de La Lune that she came to choose Easy Game for her Trakehner mare Dark Magic (Handryk x Hohenstein), Dalera’s dam, born in 2002. According to Silke: “I found Dark Magic on the internet and purchased her from the breeder as a riding horse. Dark Magic’s pedigree appealed to us, and because Handryk’s sire, Van Deyk, had some very good offspring here in the area at the time. Her motherline is very solid and comes from East Germany. This line is known for producing jumping horses, but it also gives hardness and willingness to perform.”.
Silke’s breeding goal has always been to produce a good riding horse, with the hope that it would also be a good sport horse – a horse with a good character and attitude, and a willingness to perform. And of course, a horse that is fun on a daily basis! To her, these traits are much more important than any other criteria, also at a high level of the sport.
As a foal Dalera was essentially just as one knows her today, “always rideable,” and how Jessica von Bredow-Werndl always describes her. She was always even-tempered and drawn to people. According to Silke, “You could already see the quality of movement, always moving in the field in a loose and elastic manner. And she was simply uncomplicated.” When Dalera was sold at the age of four or five, Silke has already assessed her as ‘very good’.
Although further pregnancies evaded Dark Magic, Silke was still able to breed from her via embryo transfer, and last year produced two full sisters to Dalera, “plus I bred a full brother, who is now also with Dalera’s owner.”
Silke’s breeding plans for the future are simple – to just continue in the same way, but she’s had to make important decision as she doesn’t want her breeding operation to get too big. As a result, she has sold all the mares that are not out of this damline, and intends to focus on Dalera’s damline in the future.
On winning the LonginesWBFSH Breeder Award: Silke is incredibly proud, also of Dalera's achievement. It is a wonderful acknowledgment for Longines to arrange the breeder awards, and to give a special recognition to the breeders, especially as they are so often in the background. ■

FISCHERCHIPMUNK (HANN) (CONTENDRO I X HERALDILK XX) BRED BY HILMER MEYER-KULENKAMPFF
It would have been unlikely to predict that when fischerChipmunk first won the World Breeding Rankings for the season concluding on September 30, 2019, that three years later he’d once again reward his breeder, Hilmer Meyer-Kulenkamkpff with a second coveted Longines timepiece, but the intervening years speak volumes about the gelding’s competitive longevity and, as his rider, Michael Jung’s management. Now, at the age of 15, fischerChipmunk’s career can be considered as extraordinary as the style in which it began, by winning the five-year-old eventing title at the Bundeschampionate – the German young-horse championship in Warendorf in 2013.
Notably, fischerChipmunk’s bloodline has been in his breeder’s family for more than 100 years, as he explains: “This damline can be traced back to 1906, starting with the Trakehner mare purchased by my great-grandfather. Forty years later, war refugees came to the farm in Lower Saxony for shelter. The Graf Dönhoff family brought two Trakehner mares with them. One of these mares was in foal and gave birth to a colt that my father purchased. This colt matured rather early, and when he was two he put a grand lady (Firnis x Schwalbenflug, old Hanoverian blood), who was already an old mare, in foal, which resulted in a top filly.” Later, the filly was taken out of sport to breed. According to Hilmer: “I am now breeding the eighth generation out of this line founded on a mix between Trakehner, Hanoverian, and Holsteiner (Ramiro) blood. We know this damline very well and can select the right stallions. I am very keen on the blood of Nearco xx (Pharos xx - Nogra xx x Havresac II xx) and Hurry On xx (Marcovil xx - Toute Suite xx x Sainfoin xx). They have had and still have a very influential role in Warmblood breeding. That is how I bred Chipmunk, he carries five times Nearco xx and three or four times Hurry On xx, and this mixed with Ramiro x Ramzes x blood brings willingness to perform, power for jumping and rideability. I still look today for Nearco xx and Hurry On xx in the pedigrees.
“I breed with two damlines and five mares, of which four are by Contendro I. Chipmunk has a huge canter and is very easy to ride. This is a characteristic of his damline, all the horses are easy to ride. He made his career in the eventing sport but I think he could have become a top jumper too. Through my foundation with studying the bloodlines, I try to make double crosses to very important Thoroughbreds. With Sandro I have the very important blood of Sacramento Song xx who appears in many important Holsteinerbred horses.
According Michael Jung; “Chipmunk is very connected with people and likes to earn their attention. In a class he is 100% with me and everything he learns he puts into very good practice. I can also say he’s very focused on his job.”
When asked about his future breeding plans, Hilmer said that he has an outstanding filly from the last season, out of the full sister of Chipmunk. This filly is also a full sister to his premium-licensed Hanoverian stallion, and she is his big hope for the future of his breeding out of this damline. ■
2023 Stallion
PERFORMANCE, PERFORMANCE, PERFORMANCE...
TheWORLD BREEDING NEWS stallion
rankings are based on a horse's own performance in the competition arena, and this year the number one BN showjumping stalllion is a real star with quite a back story.
Showjumping
For a start, Faltic HB is owned by Oakingham Stud, a family-run breeding operation in West Sussex, in southern England. The stallion has also had a dazzling rise through the ranks. Ridden by Irish rider, Eoin Gallagher, he came to Ben Maher in October 2021 as a 1m55 competitor; the following year, he was the most successful member of the British bronze medal winning team at the 2022 World Championships (WEG) in Herning, Denmark, where he placed fourth individually. He was only included in the British team at the last minute when Maher elected not to take Explosion W. Faltic is proof, if proof was ever needed in the world of jumping breeding, that performance breeds performance, as every stallion on the three generation pedigree, jumped 1m60. His sire, Baltic VDL competed 1m60, as did his sire Quaprice Bois Margot, and grandsire, Quidam de Revel, while his damsire, Jus de Pomme was an Olympic gold medallist (Atlanta 1996 with Germany’s Ulrich Kirchhof).
Faltic's dam, Beloma B is by Concorde, by Voltaire, out of a Nimmerdor mare (there’s actually another cross of Nimmerdor on Baltic's mare line).
The number two BN stallion, Stargold, ranks 13th in the world. Owned by Gestüt Sprehe, Stargold is by their number one sire, Stakkato Gold, out of a mare by the Oldenburger, Lord Weingard (Lordanos) out of a mare by that stalwart
of Holsteiner breeding, Contender.
There is another Stakkato Gold in the top 10, the fifth-ranked Solid Gold Z, out of a Calvin Z mare, so perhaps Stakkato is an exception when it comes to German jumping stallions...
It is somewhat curious that the great German jumping sires have not, in the main, been stallion makers. Gotthard, Capitol, Grannus, Ramiro, Pilot, all died without notable heirs. Ah, but what about that great Holsteiner stallion, Cor de la Bryère? Trouble is, ‘Corde’ is 100% Selle Français, and the French stallions left lots and lots of stallion sons to keep their lines running. Of the German greats, Capitol was the most successful sire of sires with Cassini I and II, Cento, and Cardento; and in the Netherlands, Indoctro, although it might be noted that of this group, only Cardento does not have Corde on his mare line...
The third most successful jumping stallion is Quel Homme de Hus, by Quidam de Revel out of a grand-daughter of Cassini I. There was a degree of derision when the Frenchman, Xavier Marie, who made his fortune with the furniture and home decor com-

pany, Maisons du Monde, assisted by his expert advisor, publisher, (of the absolutely brilliant, Annuaire Monneron, an annual publication that was packed with fabulous articles on sport horse breeding ) and cabaret singer, Frédéric Monneron popped up all over Germany paying top prices for young stallions to stand at his Haras du Hus. But with Quel Homme de Hus he does seems to have hit the jackpot. Ridden by Jerome Guery , the stallion is a genuine international 1m70 star. He is yet another example of how well the Selle Français/Holsteiner cross works.
Others from the same recipe book in the top 10, are seventh-ranked, Con Quidam RB, who is by the Quidam son, Quinar (out of a grand-daughter of Almé) out of a Holsteiner mare with two crosses of Capitol. Similarly, the ninth-ranked Dominator 2000 Z is by Diamant de Sémilly out of a Cassini I mare.
The fourth, Rouge de Ravel, is by the Belgian son of Capitol, Ultimo van ter Moude out of a mare by the Selle Français stallion that made such a mark on Belgian breeding, Major de la Cour. Rouge de Ravel is out of a mare of solid French breeding, by Quouglof Rouge.
Dressage
Now to the dressage stallions. In the past some of the leading stallions in the sport have not been highly successful in open competition, but this year’s top 10 stallion list is packed with superior performers.
It’s no surprise that the number one spot goes to the current World Champion, Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro), and while success in the sport is no guarantee of success as a sire, the early indications are that Glamourdale is producing very fine progeny and passing on his exceptional canter. At the
recent KWPN licensing, he provided four approved sons, including one of the seven premium stallions.
Number two on the BN list is Isabell Werth's DSP Quantaz (Quaterback x Hohenstein), a solid Grand Prix competitor, although he is yet to prove himself as a sire.
Third to the Dutch stallion, Hermès (Easy Game x Flemmingh x Jazz). Easy Game has not been popular and has not covered many mares. He has only two Grand Prix performers, but what a twosome; world number one, Dalera (out of Dark Magic x Handryk [Trak]), and Hermès (out of Bukkie [KWPN] x Flemmingh [KWPN]), who is the current star of the Dutch team. The KWPN commission was delighted to be able to approve the Hermès son, Pantheon L.E. out of a San Remo mare, at the February stallion show.
Fourth to the American Grand Prix star, Salvino (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall). So far as I can tell, Salvino has never been used as a breeding stallion, but since it seems injury is putting an end to his competition career, that may change in the future.
Fifth, to Dante Weltino (Danone I x Welt Hit II) who is already the sire of 26 approved sons, and three Grand Prix horses. In sixth we have one of my favourite horses, Indian Rock. His Grand Prix

career is in its early stages but, sadly, one doubts he will get to cover many mares since, like his sire Apache, he is WFFS positive. Indian Rock is out of a Vivaldi mare. He has six approved sons, so there are at least some mare owners who ignore the hysteria, and take advantage of this beautifully bred, and oh so handsome individual. Oh yeah, he can move too...
Then to another international superstar, Ingrid Klimke’s Franziskus (Fidertanz x Alabaster x Rubinstein). The bay stallion has already sired 21 small tour horses, with two at Grand Prix, and 32 approved sons. Fidertanz (Fidermark x Ravallo) is proving himself the most important disseminator of the blood of his grandsire, Florestan. He is the sire of 39 Grand Prix competitors, including the number eight on the BN list, Fiderdance (Don Schufro) who is just commencing his Grand Prix career with Simone Pearce.
Ninth to another new face (a new colour too – grey) on the Grand Prix circuit, Hexagon’s Ich Weiss (Rubiquil x Negro).
And rounding out the top 10, we find Sir Donnerhall II (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) who in spite of having a full-on competition career with Morgan Barbançon, and covering a tiny fraction of the mares that his full brother Sir Donnerhall I has bred, is emerging
as a decent sire, with three Grand Prix and seven small tour progeny to his name.
Eventing
Looking at the Eventing stallions list, the overriding question is why bother? The BN number one is Vitorio du Montet (Lando x Pierreville*HN) who is the 67th most successful competitor in the world of eventing. He competed twice in 2023, ninth in a three-star in Italy, and second in another three-star in Madrid. In 2021 he was eighth at Pau fivestar, but was eliminated at his only other fivestar start, Badminton 2022.
So, here’s the edited ‘highlights’. Sixth on the BN list is Tresor Mail who is at least bred to be an eventing sire. Bred by Bernard Le Courtois, he’s by that good sire of eventers, Jaguar Mail, out of a mare by Iowa (Libero H x Dark Tiger xx), which makes 73.63% ‘blood’. He was also a decent four-star competitor with Sidney Dufresne.
My general rule is that anything Joris Brabander breeds is interesting, and in eighth we have one of his, Leipheimer van’t Verahof by the great showjumping sire Vigo d'Arsouilles, out of the Thoroughbred mare, Southern Queen (South Gale xx x Queens Hussar xx) herself a 1m35 showjumper. Leipheimer is a full-brother to Fletcha van’t Verahof, another four-star eventer with Karin Donckers. Another full-brother is the threestar competitor Extebaria van’t Verahof. Again they all carry just the right amount of blood at 76.17%.
You might also consider the 16thranked TSF Polartanz, a four-star competitor with German, Felix Etzel. He is by the Trakehner Konvoi (by Kallistos AA) out of a mare by the greatest eventing sire of them all, Heraldik xx, out of a mare by another Trakehner four-star eventer, Habicht. ■

HOW MEANINGFUL ARE BIRTH STATISTICS?
To start by explaining these tables: the 2021 ranking counts youngsters born from 2015 up to 2019 (the latter being the youngest at which a candidate stallion may be provisionally licensed), while 2022 includes those born from 2016 to 2020. Naturally, this does not include earlierborn sires who were approved retroactively based on either their own or their offsprings’ competition results – although these would likely be in the small majority.
Both of these tables cover part of the Covid era, which we now know did not negatively impact the number of foal registrations, although stallion licensing by studbooks were either cancelled or held remotely.
Comparing the tables opposite, Cornet Obolensky/ex Windows van het Costersveld (Clinton x Heartbreaker) is opening a substantial lead to the now second-ranked For Pleasure (Furioso II x Grannus): One sire very much alive, the other who died in 2011. Similarly, Casall (Caretino x Lavall I) is on the rise with a marginal increase, as is Diamant de Semilly (Le Tôt de Semilly x Elf III), who died early last year.
TOP 20 YOUNGSTER SIRES 2022
altogether, so from 14 products to fewer than eight. Likewise, Baloubet du Rouet (Galoubet A x Starter), although his son, Balou du Rouet (out of a Continue dam), has maintained his place.
One notable new arrival who will be interesting to watch in the coming years is Comme il faut NRW (the Westfalian version born in 2005 by Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro Z), who jumps, literally, into 11th. However, given the rising popularity of his sire, I can say that we may see his other son, the two-years younger KWPN Comme il faut arriving next year.
TOP 20 YOUNGSTER SIRES 2021
Other new arrivals in this table are – Escamillo and Secret –who have both jumped straight into seventh place, each with 10 young, approved sons, while Dominator Z sits just below with nine sons, alongside Stakkato Gold and Sezuan (ranked ninth last year), Fürstenball, and Untouchable (new youngsters). Finally, Benicio joins this line-up with eight young sires in 19th place.
Two more variations towards the top is the sudden drop in Voltaire son Kannan’s offspring, while Vigo d’Arsouilles (Nabab de Reve x Fleuri du Manoir) has disappeared
It should be noted that although some stallions’ ranking places have changed, the volume of recorded offspring is static. Also worth remembering is that Cornet Obolensky led the BN Auction rankings in 2022 in terms of foals sold, which is likely to further impact his rise in the coming years as sons are later presented as stallion candidates at the various studbook licensings.
SIRE RANKING BASED ON SIX BEST PERFORMING OFFSPRING
Theannual WBFSH/FEI horse rankings are based on points earned in FEI competitions from October 1 to September 30 each year. From these rankings we have created a list of the top sires per discipline by calculating the points earned by their top six performance offspring in FEI competitions. As some stallions have many more offspring than others, limiting them to their best six representatives creates a level foundation for comparison.
It should also be noted that 2021 saw a substantial rise in points following the Covid-impacted season in 2020. Although last year didn’t see a full tournament schedule, it did include the postponed Olympic Games, which includes a major points co-efficient, leading to the large gains by some sires.
After three years leading the pack, Chacco-Blue has dropped to third place, overtaken by Diamant de Semilly and Cardento and, notably, there are no fewer than 18 new horses appearing for the first time in this ranking list (identified by n/a under 2020) led by Plot Blue who jumps straight in at #16, followed by three other newbies to the list, hot on his heels: Lupicor, Cooper van de Heffinck, and Comme Il Faut.
Spotlighting #50, the Selle Français
Number One d’Iso, arriving for the time time, and with only three scoring representatives – a remarkable accomplishment.
Looking at the dressage sires, 60% of the top 10 are new arrivals in the ranking, with Ampere – straight in at #3 – and Negro at #10, notable for both only counting the points of five and six representatives, respectively. It’s possible that we’ll see those that didn’t appear in last year’s list slowly edging out the old guard in the next couple of years.
Last year’s leading eventing sire, Contendro I, has now been eclipsed by Jaguar Mail and Diarado, ranked #1 and #2, respectively, by a reasonable margin.
As always, these rankings have endeavoured to create a fair comparison between those sires with a huge volume of representatives, especially in showjumping, and others with far fewer sons and daughters who are, nonetheless, performing with great distinction at an international level. We hope this provides a more beneficial analysis than the WBFSH sire rankings that simply count FEI competition points regardless of volume. ■

WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY
SHOWJUMPING SIRES – BASED ON TOP 6 OFFSPRING
WHAT ’S IN A BIRTHPLACE, SIZE, COLOUR, OR YEAR OF BIRTH?
This19th edition of the BREEDING NEWS WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE
STALLION DIRECTORY – our fourth digital version – includes over 10,000 stallions, cross-referenced to their owners/representatives in our online database. This number fluctuates marginally throughout the year as newly approved/licensed sires are added, and deceased stallions or those whose licenses have been revoked or have expired are deleted. This online format provides an interactive and dynamic database that allows owners or studfarms to self-manage their stallion entries, including uploading photos and/or videos.
CHART 1 – GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION of stallions on a global scale, per birth studbook. We have only included those countries whose total represents a significant percentage of stallions. Naturally, with the largest volume of studbooks, Germany occupies the largest slice of the pie chart, followed by France (SF and AA) and the Netherlands (KWPN, NRPS, KFPS). We
CHART 1
continue to include Thoroughbreds in our analysis as they are licensed for Warmblood breeding by any number of studbooks. virtually all the major studbooks, but have no relevance to birth countries.
‘Other’ includes Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, NZ, South Africa, North America, etc., representing virtually every continent that boasts worldclass sport horse breeding, but with a smaller percentage of approved stallions.
CHARTS 2 AND 3 – COLOUR AND SIZE, RESPECTIVELY. Typically, there are only small differences from year to year which are due more to the upgrading of information as it becomes available, although it’s obvious to the eye that bay continues to dominate.
CHART 4 – YEAR OF BIRTH: It should be noted that the smallest segment is 20162020, which illustrates the cancellation and or postponement of licensing events and approvals during the years impacted by the Covid pandemic. ■
CHART 4
CHART 3
AUCTIONS: THEIR DIVERSE POWER TO SEDUCE
Thestage is set, the atmosphere electric, and the heat is rising. Whether you’re in an auction arena or at home and speculating online, anyone and everyone can be seduced by spending their hard-earned cash!
There is no doubt that during the years of the Covid pandemic, auction dynamics evolved in a way never before seen. The traditional on-site auctions were abandoned and quickly replaced by ‘online’ platforms in order to preserve the financial returns for both breeders and studbooks.
Anyone concerned by the new concept were, of course, reassured by the reputable studbook organizers, and confidence also grew for the private auctioneers, many of whom took advantage of the new technological trend.
However, ‘remote’ purchasing combined with modern reproductive technology also spawned an exponential increase in the marketing of frozen embryos, the overall results of which have not yet come to fruition. Although, there have already been perverse rumours about the genetic provenance of some products.
This has, of course, raised the question of semen traceability and the systematic dismantling of an age-old ideology embracing trust and transparency.
For the 2022 auction year, and taking into account the dynamic changes that have occurred, the two tables represent (1) embryos and (2) All others ages – so the latter will include foals up to trained performance models.
It’s obvious from the side-by-side tables that there are many common names
towards the top of both lists: Chacco-Blue notwithstanding as #1 in both cases... Cornet Obolensky, Diamant de Semilly, Dominator 2000 Z, Poker de Mariposa, Comme il faut NRW, et al.
In the past, ‘hype’ has often been used to explain the popularity of specific bloodlines. In this case Chacco-Blue and his breeder, Paul Schockemöhle could be described as masters of ‘hype’ as this sire’s bloodline (himself and direct sons) has generated more than €11 million in sales during 2022, plus a sum just shy of €3 million for embryos.
In a series of articles by Xavier Libbrecht in WORLD BREEDING NEWS in 2022, the cost of a surrogate mare, foaling, raising, training and the early competition years in young-horse classes was estimated as being in the region of €300,000, including estimates for veterinary care, farriery, entry fees, etc., plus the original cost of an embryo. When you compare the two tables, especially the ‘average’ prices, in the majority of cases the cost of acquiring a foal or horse appears to be a much better investment and with a lot less risk.
Another important factor for breeders is whether a sire’s popularity in terms of sheer sales volume is more important than the average price per product sold. There are several examples to consider in the foals/horses table (in order): Casallco, Viva Gold, Escamillo, Fürst Jazz, Top Gear, and Chac Boy, whose sales volumes are relatively low, but with extremely high average prices.
We publish the statistics and leave you, the breeders, to assess your personal priorities. ■
WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY
FOALS/HORSES (PER SALES TOTAL)
WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY
EMBRYOS (PER SALES TOTAL)
• Life No: When stallions are sold and/or change nationality, a birth number may be lost and remain unknown, or a new registration number subsequently issued by another licensing studbook. To date, the 10-digit ULN (Unique Life Number) has not been adopted universally.
• Birth studbook: For the majority, ‘part-bred’ means a Thoroughbred/Warmblood cross. Part-bred stallions are typically approved or licensed later in life based on their own or their offsprings’ competition results. In some cases, no WBFSH-recognized studbook may have existed in the stallion’s home country at the time of birth. Similarly, birth studbooks may have merged and former acronyms may now be meaningless to the majority of breeders. We have, therefore, adopted either the new studbook name, where it is provided and recognized, or used ‘unknown’.
Although the WBFSH does not recognize the Jockey Club as an independent studbook, many Thoroughbreds (designated by the ‘xx’ suffix) are approved/licensed for Warmblood breeding by a WBFSH member studbook.
Special note: Only full members and association studbooks in good standing with the WBFSH are included in the directory so, from time to time, a studbook and its stallions may be deleted.
• Clones: When a clone is approved/licensed as a sire by a member studbook of the WBFSH he qualifies for inclusion in the Stallion Directory. When a clone is listed in the Directory, we will add (Clone) in parenthesis following their birth name. Similarly, in the ‘Breeder’ column, the name of the original stallion breeder will be followed by the clone’s breeder (where known).
• Colour: Among the world’s studbooks, nomenclature for horse colours are as diverse as the colours themselves. In general, we have adopted the birth studbook’s recorded colour, although they may not be universal. For instance, in Europe, a black and white horse is typically known as Piebald, but may be designated as Black Tobiano or Pinto by some breeding associations. It should be noted that the various shades of ‘bay’ (bright bay, brown bay, black bay, … etc.) have been condensed to either ‘bay’ (B) or ‘dark bay’ (DB) in the Stallion Directory. The online database provides a drop-down menu for colour abbreviations.
• Name: Where known, we have included a former name by which a stallion might have been commonly recognized, although this information is not always notified to us. Similarly, where a stallion’s name has been changed with the addition of a sponsor prefix or suffix, we have primarily retained the original name, with a few exceptions. (Hopefully, this will help to avoid any confusion as some competing horses’ names have changed several times during short periods.)
• Contact Information: Please note that the names in the ‘contacts’ column in the stallion section are cross-referenced alphabetically to the contacts section. It should also be noted that to avoid alphabetical confusion, proper names appear first; i.e. Lewitz Gestüt, rather than Gestüt Lewitz. Breeders are advised to contact the studbook of approval if no contact information is available.
• Conclusion: If anyone has any suggestions regarding the format of the entries or information provided, please let us know so we may consider useful changes for forthcoming editions of the BREEDING NEWS WORLDWIDE SPORT HORSE STALLION DIRECTORY (Online forms are available yearround for stallion owners and representatives to self manage information)
While we make every effort to ensure that the information provided is correct, errors sometimes occur in stallion registers and the updated lists provided to us by studbooks and breeders, over which we have no control. ■

The perfect mix between the best Anglo-arab performer and two worldwide leading sires!
Boldness itself: this is how we can define the beautiful Hugo d’Authou, the result of the union between a maternal line impregnated with the blood of two world-renowned sires - Kannan & Diamant de Semilly - and the AngloArab ambassador, himself an international performer, Upsilon. After a very good season at 4 y.o. under the saddle of F. Clément, he ended his season with the 3rd place of the SHF Indoor 4 y.o. Championship. An original genetics for a bet of future!
PEDIGREE V
His sire UPSILON is gifted in the 3 olympic disciplines. Star of the eventing planet, he did not stop confirming his huge talent. Respectful, serious and courageous, he passes on his qualities to his products: ETOILE DE BELIARD (ICC 158), FLY UP DE BANUEL (ICC 152), FIRST LADY DU DESTIN (ICC 152), EPSILON FIRST LADY AA (ICC 149), FARINO DU GUINEFORT (ISO 145), etc. Upsilon brings the precious blood of the great international winner Canturo (B. Alves), sire of many international performers, and that of the Anglo Arab leading stallion FUSAIN DU DEFEY.
His mother Celimene d’Authou is a daughter of the world leading sire KANNAN. Hugo is her first product. She comes from the line of F. Leredde from which came DIABLE ROUGE, TIGRE ROUGE, ULTIMO VAN TER MOUDE (stallion), APPLE DE RIVER (ISO 162, World Cup), KIKUYU DU COTY (ISO 170), AMETHYSTE DU COTY (ISO 159), CARLITA DE GAIA (ISO 150), PIMM’S DU COTY (stallion, ISO 145), etc. Celimene’s full brother, UGOLIN D’AUTHOU, is also an approved stallion (ISO 144).
PERFORMANCES V
• 8 clear rounds out of 8 on the SHF Cycle Classique circuit for 4-year-old horses including a double clear round in Compiègne (3rd). Finalist at Fontainebleau, without fail in the final reserved for males and geldings, he finished 46th in the Championship, all sexes combined.
• He finished 3rd in the Equita Lyon SHF Indoor Final in 2021 reserved for 4-year-old horses with twice 18/20 in style and manner.
• He continued his training on the SHF Cycle Classique circuit for 5 year-old horses.
• ISO 122 at 4 years old.
PRODUCTION V
• Hugo d’Authou started breeding in 2022. His first offspring are harmonious and chic.
• 5* at the CIRALE radiographic protocol.
