Dedicated to the Extraordinary When my family and I began our Bend adventure, we jumped right in to the amazing outdoor lifestyle Bend has to offer. With over 17 years of real estate experience in both Texas and Florida, my primary goal is making sure I provide the best customer experience while helping to find the best home for you and your family. I have a diversified background in real estate, including over 12 years working with a national builder. During this time, I also had the unique opportunity of working within the active adult industry with Pulte Homes in Sun City Texas, a resort-style, golf course community of over 12,500 homes. As a way to encourage our family to embrace the Bend lifestyle, I created a blog ~ Living the Bend Life ~ to document our journey. What started as a hobby, turned into a passion for helping others that were also new to Bend, and less than a year after launching Living the Bend Life, it won Best Local Blog in Central Oregon in The Source Weekly’s 2016 Reader’s Poll. This led to a desire to expand and provide even more information to those seeking to call Bend home. Visit livingthebendlife.com to check out cool local adventures, fun kid’s activities, referrals & more. With a deep desire to help others embrace and call Bend home, I’ve decided to combine this with my real estate expertise and offer my assistance to help make one of the largest decisions most people will ever make as easy and seamless as possible. Whether looking for a new home, or selling your home here in Bend, it is imperative to find someone who will focus on your best interests, matching your needs and goals with the opportunities available within our local market. I would love the opportunity to help with all your Central Oregon real estate needs. Uniting buyers and sellers to achieve a common goal…Living the Bend Life!

FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear Parents and Community Members,
This annual report card is issued by the Oregon Department of Education and provides a detailed picture of the first year of Smarter Balanced testing data from the 2016-17 school year. Scores on this report card represent a new baseline and provide a clearer picture about where our students are on their path to college and career readiness. These scores help our students, their teachers, and you understand more about our strengths and areas for improvement so learning gaps can be addressed. We will continue our persistence to help ensure that all Tumalo Community School students and teachers rise to the challenge. Academic highlights: · 92% of 5th grade students met/exceeded their OAKS science assessment · All 3rd-8th grade students scored above the state average on ELA SBAC assessment. · 3rd grade students scored 29% higher and 4th grade students scored 32% higher than the state average in ELA. · 6th grade students scored 21% higher than the state average in ELA. · All 3rd-7th graders scored above the state average on Math SBAC · 3rd grade students scored 27% higher and 4th grade students scored 36% higher than the state average in math. · 7th grade students scored 32% higher than the state average in math.
· Tumalo Community School scored 15.6% higher than “like schools” in Math and 13.3% higher than “like schools” in ELA. Our staff worked incredibly hard to improve academic supports and systems to better meet the needs of our students and address Common Core State Standards. I believe this hard work and effort coupled with our student’s perseverance was demonstrated by our students achievement and growth on their Smarter Balanced Assessments. We will continue to focus on the academic growth of every student while staying true to our philosophy of educating the whole child and working to meet the academic, social and behavioral needs of every student. We promise to deliver the same excellence you have come to expect from us at Tumalo Community School while working to improve our instruction in ways that impact student growth and achievement.
Thank you, Principal

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Community Members, This report card is issued by the Oregon Department of Education. Obsidian Middle School is committed to providing a quality education for all students and working hard to ensure that our students are college and career ready. The tests challenge students, go beyond multiple- choice, and provides all students the opportunity to demonstrate what they know and can do. This information is used as one of many data points when collaborating in teams, designing relative lesson plans, and providing meaningful formative and summative assessments. Our goal is to provide opportunities that allow students to grow both academically and individually. Student growth is our top priority and we have implemented resources to help students reach their true potential. Obsidian Middle School utilizes the common core standards in all content areas when designing lessons and assessments. Computer software programs are available for
intervention in Reading Comprehension. Strategy and FLEX classes target students who struggle in both Math and English Language Arts. Grade Level Teams meet regularly to look at data and collaborate on common student goals. Students can also take Advanced Math classes in both 7th and 8th grade as well as Advanced English Language Arts in 7th and 8th grade. Obsidian’s Wolf Pack works hard to create programs and find resources to meet the needs of every single student that enters our doors. You can help by communicating with your student's teachers, monitoring your student’s academic progress (through ParentVUE), and supporting us with an “ALL IN CAN DO” attitude. We look forward to partnering with you to make success possible for your student! Thank you, Principal

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Community Members, This report card issued by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) works to represent our student’s college readiness in literacy and math, not “high school performance standards”. As a result, we have mixed feelings about our SMARTER BALANCED assessment (SBA) scores. In the area of literacy, for the students who completed the state assessments, the results were that 70.1% of our students are ready for college reading and writing at the end of their junior year. The problem with this percentage is if a student did not take the SBA assessment, or “opted out”, that student counts as a “level 1” which counts against our school’s percentage. Nevertheless, we saw a slight increase of students who met from the previous group of students who took the SBA the previous year. For the students who completed the math SBA assessment, the math results were that 26.6% of our tested students are ready for college math at the end of their junior year. Again, we do not feel that this actually represents the college and career readiness of our students. We are excited to report that our “On-track to Graduate” scores rose significantly. Having 93.6% of our 9th graders being on track after their 9th grade year is very
exciting. It is even more exciting when we compare with the rest of Oregon at 82.6%. 11% higher! That said, we are far from satisfied. To realize continued growth, we encourage each and every learner to expand their potential. We will work to foster a feeling of ‘belonging’ for every student. We will continue to focus on closing the opportunity and expectations gaps for all students through our AVID Schoolwide system. We will explicitly teach and encourage every student to learn and demonstrate effective resiliency-building practices. As a result of these efforts, we will continue to deliver the excellence you have come to expect from Ridgeview High School. Go Ravens!
Thank you, Principal

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) will not assign summative, overall ratings to schools on the 2016-17 report cards given the upcoming implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in 2017-18. However, the ODE will report indicator ratings (e.g., achievement, growth, graduation, etc.) for each school and student group on the 2016-17 Report Card (RC) Rating Details reports. These reports are accessible at http://www.oregon.gov/ode/schools-anddistricts/reportcards. For more information about ESSA and the redesign of the school and district report cards, please visit http://www.oregon.gov/ode/rules-and-policies/ESSA.
