Dedicated to the Extraordinary "With 20 years of real estate experience in Texas, Florida and Oregon, my primary goal is making sure I provide the best customer experience while helping to find the best home for you and your family. I have a diversified background in real estate, including over 12 years working with a national builder. When my family and I began our Bend adventure, we jumped right in to the amazing lifestyle Bend has to offer. As a way to encourage our family to take full advantage of our outdoor playground, I created a blog ~ Living the Bend Life ~ to document our journey. What started as a hobby, quickly turned into a passion for helping others that are planning a move to Central Oregon, those new to the area, and those planning a future visit. Being voted Best Local Blog in Central Oregon in The Source Weekly’s Reader’s Poll, helped the blog gain exposure and an even larger audience. With Central Oregon continuing to grow, I've re-branded the blog to ""Hello Bend"" as a welcome to those seeking to call Bend home and fully incorporate my real estate business into the website. Visit HelloBendOregon.com to check out cool outdoor adventures, fun kid’s activities, local resources and Central Oregon real estate information. With a deep desire to help others embrace and call Bend home, I've combined this with my real estate expertise to offer my assistance to help make one of the largest decisions most people will ever make as easy and seamless as possible. Whether looking for a new home, or selling your home here in Bend, it is imperative to find someone who will focus on your best interests, matching your needs and goals with the opportunities available within our local market. I would love the opportunity to help with all your Central Oregon real estate needs. Uniting buyers and sellers to achieve a common goal!"

“What I Love About 19403 Brookside Way” A Note from the Seller…

I love that the property is nestled into the environment. It doesn’t intrude; it simply co-exists with nature. I can be out the front door to a vast trail system. I can walk, hike, bike, cross-country ski and snowshoe very easily. The Deschutes River Trails are adjacent to the property and can be accessed via the Haul Road Trail, which runs across the front of Braeburn to the new visitor’s center. Mount Bachelor is just 18 miles from the house. The Cascade Lakes are open after ski season and are a wonderful playground for Bend enthusiasts. Kayaking, river rafting, fishing, lava caves and camping opportunities are abundant. When we first moved here, our unpacking took forever -- mostly because there was so much to see and do. We would work out, unpack and play until dark, then repeat. We also love the neighborhood: If you’re an outdoors enthusiast, you cannot go wrong choosing to live in Braeburn! We feel it’s been our best investment ever. You can go skiing or snowshoeing nearby or simply around the house. And although the supermarket is just seven minutes away, you feel so far removed from the hustle and bustle of town. I also love the reverse-living floor plan of the home -- it makes you feel like you’re living in a treehouse. Unlike a traditional one- level home, you live among your surroundings: Mature trees, landscaping, wildlife and the surrounding vistas provide a sense of great privacy. It’s beautiful up here! I will greatly miss the views! I love the warmth of the home’s interior. On a snowy day, you can light the fireplaces and enjoy the view out of the 18 windows, read a great book, watch a movie or just take a nap. The windows provide an abundance of natural light. I actually bought this home because of this feature – it was the number-one requirement for me. The home’s floor plan is wonderful for company: The master suite is situated on a separate side of the home from the guest rooms, so it’s very private. Meanwhile, the great room provides a great community area to visit and enjoy a meal together. The house is built for family, guests and gatherings -- there are many seating areas inside and out. When spring and summer arrives, we would throw open the doors, have a barbecue, put on some tunes and create great memories. The yards come alive each spring. I’ve spent countless hours planting so that we’d have blooming plants in each season. If you’re an avid gardener, you’ll love it. Plus, the mature trees and shrubs provide a great sense of privacy from the neighbors -- best naps in the world out there! I know the new homeowners will enjoy the beautiful garden. You could spend hours watching the local wildlife and birds, and there’s always something new popping up in the garden. Even during winter, we’ve had birds, including hummingbirds, visit our back yard. One winter, we had 50 to 60 grossbeaks in our heated birdbath. Blue jays, woodpeckers, hawks, finches and robins are just a few of our frequent flyers. You will even get to hear the great horned owls that live here! From the exterior, it is a beautiful Craftsman-style home with many great features. At night, the leaded-glass windows are beautiful when illuminated. Having one of the neighborhood parks directly across the street is an added bonus! ~ Darlene Macy

Safe & Welcoming Environment

Our promise is for every student to be known by name, strength and need; and to graduate ready for college, career and citizenship. Our focus is on people, starting with our teachers and school staff and extending to students, families and community partners. We ask teachers, school leaders and staff to hold our students to high expectations, to model those standards in their own behavior and to provide all students the support they need to succeed.

The Oregon Department of Education is partnering with school districts and local communities to ensure a 90% ontime, four year graduation rate by 2025. To progress toward this goal, the state will prioritize efforts to improve attendance, provide a well-rounded education, invest in implementing culturally responsive practices, and promote continuous improvement to close opportunity and achievement gaps for historically and currently underserved students.

Bend-La Pine Schools is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students. Our strategic priorities include · Maximizing safety for students, staff, and the community. · Ensuring physically and psychologically safe, secure and orderly learning environments. · Building upon our foundation of prevention, intervention, emotional health and crisis preparedness.
