The award winning novel by Terry Pratchett
Koshka are at the cutting edge of gypsy string music, taking it to increasingly dizzy heights of invention. From gentle restraint to a fiery, breakneck onslaught, the violins soaring above the guitar with precision, panache and wild gypsy flair.
It appears he is out of luck when Death himself appears... offering employment. Undertaking the work, Mort is overcome with compassion for a young princess. In his attempt to help her he disrupts space and time and with an estranged butler, Death’s daughter and a cast of other hilariously weird and wonderful characters, he sets out to save her.
In 1965 the UK and US governments struck a deal that saw 2000 British citizens lose their homes on the island of Diego Garcia. Roughly two thirds of those islanders now live in Crawley. Exiled is a community film about the islanders, funded by the Road To Crawley oral history project. It is the first time they have told their story in their own words.

The Hawth and Tongues On Fire are proud to present three films expressing the drive and spirit of South Asian independent cinema. The three highly-acclaimed, thoughtprovoking films will be screened free in The Hawth Studio and other venues in the town over three weeks.

A young Asian woman, returns home to New Jersey to face memories of her childhood with her bipolar mother (played by Madhur Jaffrey).
Based on real events, this is the moving story of a Pakistani Hindu boy and his father who accidentally cross the border into India in 2002, a time of increased tension between the two countries. The boy and his father are jailed while back in Pakistan the boy’s mother faces a solitary struggle for survival.
This award-winning film is the second highest grossing film ever from Pakistan. Three people from three different continents experience difficulties as the world changes for Muslims in the wake of 9/11.
The film tackles the taboo of mental illness in the South Asian community. Dr Pushpinda Chowdhry, Tongues On Fire director and a trained psychiatrist will host a talk after the film.

Always intrigued by the unexpected, Laura is exhibiting abstract paintings, digital art and photography. All proceeds from her images of the Masai of Longido will be donated to Testigo Africa, a charity financing a water supply to the village.

Roger Bastable’s Crawley: New Town Photographs 1940s to 1970s Over 300 photographs of the town and its people from the magnificent Roger Bastable Collection bequeathed to the town’s library in 2007. More photos of Crawley 1940s to 1970s are needed for the library collection particularly of Bewbush. Staff will be at the exhibition every Saturday and Wednesday to scan your photographs. Refund/Exchange of tickets The Box Office will issue credit vouchers for returned tickets as long as the tickets are returned at least one week before the performance. How To Find Us Crawley is midway between London and Brighton and is easily accessible by motorway, air (Gatwick Airport is four miles away) and rail. By Road Crawley is minutes away from the M23 motorway which links to the M25. The Hawth is well signposted on all major routes into the town. There is free car and coach parking on site. Downloadable maps and links are available at www.hawth.co.uk By Rail Either Three Bridges or Crawley stations (both a 15 minute walk away). Both stations have taxi ranks. For further details of rail services, visit www. thetrainline.com. An evening bus service links both stations to The Hawth dropping passengers off immediately outside.
