Commuter Passport Your guide to the importance of the SunRail for commuters and what is offered at each stop. Also, this guide provides riders with the ability to receive discounts for frequenting the train, which will help reduce their costs over time for those needing to use the train most often for work commutes. The train is also available for those who need to commute for personal reasons, as welll as for shopping and entertainment. The train was built to serve Central Florida areas such as Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties, but its reach continues to broaden.

What’s a TOD ANYWAY?

DeBary’s Transit Overlay District (TOD) is a special economic development zone established to complement SunRail and the depot nearby. The prime DeBary corner, next to the SunRail, is set to develop soon. Currently just a train stop with parking, it has excellent frontage to U.S. Highway 17-92 and Dirksen Drive and has all the potential to become a sort of Downtown DeBary. Planners envision the TOD as a commercial hub for southwest Volusia with a mix of uses—multifamily apartments, retail and office space. The TOD is an area of approximately 220 acres around the SunRail depot intended for development that complements mass transit. The TOD encompasses a variety of intense uses, including retail shopping, restaurants and multifamily housing.

SEMINOLE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Location, Location! The Sanford SunRail station provides passenger drop-off with connections to various locations nearby, including the Seminole Towne Center Mall, historic downtown Sanford, Florida Regional Hospital and residential developments. Sanford offers retail space, sustainability and a fine place to raise your family!

LAKE SEMINOLE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Shop & Eat The Lake Mary station encompasses a variety of intense uses, including retail shopping, restaurants and multifamily housing. This small community space is within walking or biking distance to local areas such as the municipal complex, Seminole State College and various recreational parks and trails. This stop on the train also provides connections to get where you need to go via the Lynx bus system and taxi service, including but not limited to Uber and Lyft.

SEMINOLE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Residential Commuter Stop This station is s short distance from the Seminole Hospital as well as its hightraffic historic district. A primarily resident stop, Longwood does promote various connections to traveling farther as there is no way to reach locations by walking alone from this stop. Longwood does provide parking for those individuals needing to park their cars in order to ride the train the remainder of the way to work in Orlando.

ALTAMONTE SEMINOLE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Urban Center Altamonte Springs is a highly developed area that includes professional and family locations. Taking a connection from the Altamonte Springs SunRail station allows commuters to take a taxi to work or even bike depending on how far they need to travel to their destination, as well as providing a destination for others to use for weekday commutes for shopping, eating and recreation. Altamonte has many different areas for shopping, including shopping centers and a large mall with attached movie theater for those wanting to relax between commutes. Also, for those seeking a more business-based commute, there are many areas for employment that range from part-time retail all the way to full-time business and medical positions. This stop has unlimited possibilities.

ORANGE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Developed Acres for Residents Transit zone where a lot of people are looking for homes and jobs, a sort of mini-city. This SunRail station seeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most activity from a combination of residential and work commuters. An all-in-one development on a choice parcel at U.S. Highway 17-92. Maitland stands strongest by SunRail for providing a travel option for is large residential population.

WINTER ORANGE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Prime Destination Not only is this stop great for daily commuters needing to get to work, but it also provides shopping for those taking a more leisurely ride on SunRail. Just walking distance from this stop, you can experience a full shopping complex for the entire family, as well as restaurants to enjoy some down time while you are waiting for your train to return for your trip back home. It seems thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a lot of people looking for a way to avoid Interstate-4 traffic and enjoy a consistent and peaceful ride to their destination without the hassle of waiting in traffic, burning up gas, and spending more money to commute.

After complaining of headaches for almost a month, Rylee was taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma—a fast-growing, highgrade cancerous tumor of the brain. Rylee was given more than a 90 percent chance of recovery and the tumor was removed with complete success. But Rylee’s journey was just beginning. She was facing six months of chemotherapy and other treatments, and will not be able to return to her kindergarten class. Since Rylee’s television appearance, the family has also raised more than $12,500 through a GoFundMe account to help with medical costs, which are upward of $50,000 including the cost of trips.

Join Us Downtown SunRail stops at the business center and entertainment district in Downtown Orlando. Either stop and go to work or hop on the train to arrive at the Amway Center, where you can enjoy a concert.

Health or Travel This stop contains a medical facility and the ability to board the Amtrak train if there is a need to travel farther than SunRail can take you. In regards to medical purposes, this stop houses many medical facilities from regular to special care hospitals, which provide jobs for commuting medical professionals and helps families find a bright spot during a difficult time.

ORANGE COUNTY BY TRAIN

Space Set Aside for Community The final stop for SunRail before traveling northbound toward DeBary. Commuters can connect here with the bus, or taxi, to get to destinations such as Florida Mall or Orlando International Airport. This destination is mostly residential so the majority of commuters will be heading home after a long day of working or shopping.

Commute & Be Rewarded! The Central Florida SunRail seeks to spur development that will create an advanced urban center and a link to prime destinations for weekday commuters. Since our offering of FREE rides has ended, we get a lot of calls about discount options so we decided to do something fun. We have implemented a stamp plan that is easy to use for frequent riders. Everytime you board the train, present this passport and you will receive a stamp based on that location. Once you have received six stamps to any one location, you get a code to receive a free one-way trip on SunRail. Free tickets do come with an expiration date.
