Inspiration Makers! This year Brilliant Labs is looking for those teachers who inspire others to be their best and who are taking chances to try new things to educate students. We're pleased to share this Newfoundland "Inspiration Maker!" WHO: KESHIA HUNT WHERE: STEPHENVILLE ELEMENTARY TWITTER : @MISSSNOOKHUNT Ms. Hunt has been the teacher librarian at Stephenville Elementary School for the past two years. In her two years in this role, she has successfully created a Virtual Library Learning Commons where students at SES enjoy spending their scheduled and free tech time. In the Library Learning Commons, Ms. Hunt has been learning together with her students how to use Ozobots, Micro:bits, Cricut design space, the green screen/DoInk. Most recently, they have been learning how to use Tinkercad to create 3D designs. With their newfound knowledge, Ms. Hunt and the students at SES have created their first school-wide project: The Winter Wonderland. Every student (while remaining in their cohorts) worked together to create a beautiful village! They learned many different coding techniques, they displayed their artistic skills by painting buildings, trees and animals. They became engineers by building roadways and mapping out their village. This is just the beginning of many projects that Ms. Hunt and the students of Stephenville Elementary hope to create together
