Call for volunteers! We're looking for professional mentors to provide technical support, guidance and advice for the competing student teams during three, 30-minute virtual sessions, that they will schedule based on your availability. Project Funding
Brilliant Labs supports teachers and organizations working with youth by providing a kick start for cross-curricular problem based learning. These projects aim to promote the use of technology, coding, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. For more information click here.
Co-op Placement
We offer virtual high school co-op internship positions! Students can learn skills ranging from 3D printing, graphic design, digital marketing, cyber security, web development and multimedia production. Our team looks forward helping students. Email us!

Project Highlight
TEACHER: JAN MILLS SCHOOL: BROOKLAND ELEMENTARY WHERE: SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA At Brookland Elementary, Ms. Mills' grade 5 classroom buzzes with excitement as students work in small groups on stopmotion animation projects. They engage in hands-on, creative activities, fostering deep learning experiences. The students' animations range from action figures battling villains to playful clay blobs and high-speed motorbike chases, reflecting their interests and passions. They create storyboards to guide their work and build sets, encouraging critical thinking, problemsolving, and innovation. Capturing each frame demands patience and precision, with students demonstrating dedication and pride in their final products. Throughout the process, students actively participate, meeting curriculum outcomes and embracing cross-curricular activities. The choice and autonomy in their learning inspire enthusiasm and collaboration, enriching the overall educational experience. Introducing stop-motion animation at Brookland Elementary has profoundly enhanced engagement and creativity, paving the way for a brighter future of creative minds.
