Inspiration Makers!
This year Brilliant Labs is looking for those teachers who inspire others to be their best and who are taking chances to try new things to educate students. We're pleased to share this Nova Scotia "Inspiration Maker!" WHO: MICHAEL MACDONALD WHERE: UNIACKE DISTRICT SCHOOL
Mr. MacDonald’s science class was studying evolution, so they planned, designed, and created animals with adaptations to meet their environment using the Brilliant Labs bBoard, motors, and lights. What an innovative way to integrate our Hack-o-ween Innovation Challenge into the curriculum!
After learning the basics of how to make things Students used the Brilliant Labs b.Board, MicroBits, servo motors, LEDs, and a lot of hot glue to give these critters new adaptations and abilities. After learning the basics of how to make things work, students were given creative freedom to design, prototype, and iterate their projects before getting the chance to share them with the school.
Monthly Coding Challenges This year Brilliant Labs will be challenging teachers and students to code stories, games, apps, robots, and more! Visit brilliantlabs.ca/codingchallenges monthly for new code-to-learn challenges and resources!
