M O U N T V I E W A L PAC A FA R M
M O U N T V I E W A L PAC A FA R M Filled with adorable fuzzball residents with names like Tim Tam, Ed Sheeran and Pancake, the Mountview Alpaca Farm is everything you would imagine it to be, heart lifting, hilarious and full of the cutest alpacas you have ever seen. Mountview Alpaca Farm is a little over an hour’s drive south of Brisbane, situated just outside the picturesque country town of Canungra in the Scenic Rim Region. The alpacas at Mountview are friendly and well groomed, and you can choose to feed them, walk them, or both!
M O U N T V I E W A L PAC A FA R M The staff will help you select an alpaca who suits your family. Younger children might be paired with older, calmer and more passive alpacas, while older Brisbane kids might enjoy the company of more spirited younger ones. There is simply no experience that compares to spending time in the company of alpacas! Small children will be in awe of their ability to walk this large, placid animal, and it will create a memorable day out for the whole family. If you’re fortunate, you may also get to meet some baby alpacas, spot the resident turtles, or even catch sight of a platypus in Canungra Creek. The farm shares the grounds of O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, which means you can also enjoy all the delights of the winery, including awardwinning wines, gourmet picnic baskets, and pizzas.
Location:
52 Lamington National Park 8 Road, Canungra
Opening details: Open 7 days a week (excluding Good Friday) Cost:
ou can feed an alpaca for $3, Y or take one for a walk from $15
More about Canungra:
anungra is filled with cafes, gift C shops, and a lovely little bakery (is anything better than a country bakery’s vanilla slice?), and is a lovely place to stop for a bite before or after your alpaca experience.

EASTER EGG HUNT IDEAS FOR OLDER KIDS & TEENS
Easter shouldn’t just be about the younger kids. Let’s face it — we ALL like a good Easter egg hunt! Knowing this, we’ve come up with some cool ideas so your older Brisbane Kids and teens can have just as much fun this Easter as they did when they were little.
Scavenger Hunt
Code Hunt
Compile a list of items that need to be ticked off or collected.
Kids collect pieces of the code to find their final prize.
Treasure Hunt
Glow-in-the-dark Hunt
Kids follow a series of clues that eventually lead them to the ‘treasure’.
Place glow sticks inside plastic eggs to hunt for at night, either inside or outside.
Gift Hunt
GPS Hunt
Placed inside plastic Easter eggs, gifts could be tailored for each kid, with each having to search for a different colour.
Kids have to navigate to a series of coordinates to find hidden eggs to bring home.
On Location Hunt
Fill plastic eggs with age-appropriate truth or dare questions to complete to win a prize.
Take the hunt outside to a playground or walking trail.
Pool Hunt Put prizes inside plastic eggs and drop them in the pool. 14

FILL AN ESKY - ROAD TRIP IDE A S
After a devastating summer across many parts of Australia, we can all support local and help communities get back on their feet this autumn. Why not grab an empty esky, jump in the car to discover somewhere you may have never been before, and fill up your esky while you are there! Whilst the rain has brought welcome relief from the drought and fires, we highly recommend checking with each of the destinations on your day trip itinerary to ensure they are open for business and accessible.
