Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk leads visitors to stroll through the rainforest canopy via steel bridges and along a dirt walking track out to a lovely series of Cedar Creek cascades. Through a series of platforms, flying foxes, rope bridges and more, the TreeTop Challenge could easily provide families with an entire day’s worth of entertainment. The TreeTop Challenge Juniors is similar but is a lower to the ground course that caters for kids aged 3-7 years.

Ice Skating With locations on both the north and south side, IceWorld is a fantastic option to let your kids get active and expel some energy when the weather is miserable.
FREE ACTIVITIES OUT AND ABOUT Libraries Local libraries will lend out DVDs, toys and books! Many of them have school holiday activities and specific kids’ spaces. The Ipswich Children’s Library is a wonderful spot to visit for an entire library dedicated just to children. More about Libraries Museums The Queensland Museum is a fantastic rainy-day place! While some of the spaces are currently closed for refurbishment, there’s still a lot to see and do. Other free museums include the Museum of Brisbane, Redcliffe Museum, and Bribie Island Museum. Art Galleries GOMA and the Queensland Art Gallery host regular free children’s art exhibitions and activities. While some may be based on ticketed visiting exhibitions, the Children’s Art component is generally free. Microscope at Queensland Museum Escape Rooms With escape rooms all over Brisbane, you can take as many teenagers as possible and try an escape room challenge. Bowling Bowling is the best activity for families with kids of multiple ages, especially now that the vast majority offer options for bumpers that can be applied just for individual players. Arcades Head to 1up Arcade for a huge selection of retro arcade games. They offer unlimited passes during certain times of the day, making it more affordable for families.
