MEET IAIN, PC FOR STOKES CROFT
“My name is Iain and I am the new Police Constable for the Bristol Central Neighbourhoods Team. I bring years of experience with me, having moved from the Criminal Investigation Department and with a degree in Professional Policing Practice. My new position will see me take on the role of Beat Manager for Stokes Croft, but I will assist in all areas of central Bristol.
Having been in my new role for around three weeks, I have already been impressed by the dedication of the Neighbourhood Policing Teams. Like many cities, Bristol has many policing challenges which have a huge impact
on resources. In a recent conversation I had with the new Police and Crime Commissioner, Clare Moody, she highlighted that future investment into neighbourhood policing is a
MALE CHARGED WITH CBO BREACH
In July, officers were alerted during a patrol of Prince Street that a male was acting suspiciously in a nearby car park.
A patrol was completed in the area where a male was located who was actively trying to avoid the police. Checks were completed and the male was identified by one of the officers on scene.
AN UPDATE FROM PSCO NAT NAYLOR
“Over the last month, I have been working with the local neighbourhood policing team in St Paul’s regarding antisocial behaviour (ASB) taking place in Brunswick Square that has been impacting local businesses.
With a multi-agency approach from the Bristol Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) and St Paul’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, we have been working closely with the affected businesses. We have increased patrols in the area to detect and prevent further cases of ASB which has generated positive feedback from businesses.
top priority. Until we see that investment, rest assured that our neighbourhood teams will continue to serve the community with the respect and dedication expected of us.”
The offender had a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in place with the conditions to not enter any multi-storey parking premises in the city and to not carry any tools in a public place unless needed for a legitimate reason.
The male was arrested for breaching his CBO condition and for being in possession of a wrench.
The male was remanded in custody and transported to court where he was required to pay a fine for breaching his CBO.
Thanks to the effective work of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, this individual was prevented from committing any crimes in the area.
This is a prime example of the support the police can provide when you report the crimes impacting your business.
If your business is experiencing any issues, especially those relating to current or ongoing
ASB, please report online. Reporting helps us to record the volume of crimes committed and respond accordingly to help you.
I hope you all continue to have a safe and enjoyable summer. Take care.”
