NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE OFFICERS BRING FESTIVE SING-SONG TO THE BRI AND BRISTOL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

December saw Neighbourhood Officers from Stokes Croft, Clifton, Harbourside and the BID coming together in partnership to sing carols at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

The one-off choir treated NHS staff and patients to a blend of popular carols and Christmas classics, including: 'The First Noel', 'Away In A Manger', 'Santa

Clause Is Coming To Town', '12 Days of Christmas', and, of course, 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'.

Not only was this a chance to bring cheer to those in need during the festive period, it was also an opportunity for officers to step out of their comfort zones and to try and make a difference at a time when people start to think about others and lifting spirits.

AN UPDATE FROM PCSO, NAT NAYLOR

“Happy New Year to all of you,

"2024 has been a real rollercoaster as I tackled lots of Anti-Social Behaviour and assisted with the investigation of shop thefts that have led to prolific shoplifters being sentenced. But there isstill lots of work to be done!

"Some of the same issues are still occurring and this year I would like to do some more target hardening in partnership with levy payers and I am asking for your support to help the police in tackling the issues you are facing!

"Remember: if you are seeing something on the daily that does not look right, someone is making you feel uncomfortable, or you are getting a regular shoplifter, please get in contact with the Avon & Somerset constabulary.

"Alternatively, if you would like to have a chat with me, or if you are unsure what correct routes you need to take to report an offence, please get in touch and I will come and see you.

"If you have not got the Disc application yet, please get in contact with the BID. This is a really useful tool that can be utilised to find names of individuals that may be causing you issues, assist with the key identification process, and help you boost your reporting.

"Take care and Happy New Year, Nat."
