BBC MUSIC INTRODUCING

Huw Stephens, Presenter of BBC Music Introducing on BBC Radio 1, and host of the BBC Music Introducing showcases at SXSW “We’re big champions of new music at the BBC. Seeing as we are at SXSW, at the essential new music festival in the world, we had to be here. Over the years we have introduced Florence and the Machine, Little Simz and Sam Fender to name a few at our showcases. It’s always a highlight being here, seeing artists we’re proud to play on the airwaves, connect with a new audience. In case you’re wondering, there are around 36 Introducing shows on the BBC network, with programmes on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, Radio 3, 6Music and the Asian Network that also refl ect the new artists. Together, and at festivals like SXSW, we can help artists make an impact with their bold, brilliant music.”
