CUSCO The City of Cusco was a place for nobles to live during the Inca Empire. It was a sense of pride and dignity to be able to live in the capital of the whole empire. Cusco was a city that brought people together to trade goods and services. In today’s world, Cusco is a place of rich heritage and culture. It is seen as where the old world met the new world. Which is how I wanted to convey it’s identity. Using ancient symbols with modern images and colors to reflect this Tourist city desitnation. My idenity embodies a wide range of symbolic marks that all come together into one cohesive style.

The Rainbow Mountians are an important part of Cusco’s rich culture. the star above the mountains represent the the city growing. the star is also a Inca ancient symbol.
The Chakana is the main symbol to identify Incan civilization. the tree steps on each side represent the underworld, the middle and heaven. the circle in the middle represents Cusco being the capital for the empire.
The four corners represent the four regions of the Inca empire. The four places unite in the middle where the city of cusco now stands.

Shield Shield for Identity This is the Shield that represents Cusco’s Identity. Each illustration added to this mark is symbolic in it’s own way and goes with the font Open Sans.
Leaf | symbol for nature in the Cusco region.
Sun | Represents the County that Cusco is in, Peru Llama | The most common seen animal around Cusco. Inca Symbol | Represents the ancient people that inhabited the area. Mountains | The various landscapes that surrounds Cusco. Chakana | Ancient Inca symbol that stands for Cusco being the capital of the Incan Empire.

Color is a very important part of Cusco culture. It can be seen in it’s Natural landmarks which is depicted by this mark. The Rainbow Mountians are an important part of Cusco’s rich culture.
The Inca empire was full of many different types of symbols that depicted different events the empire symbol mainly consited of a human face which is being represented by this mark
The Chakana is an ancient inca symbol. It is the mark that signified the city of cusco being the capital of the Inca Empire. The four coners are to symbolize the four regions that the Inca empire was apart of
Cusco has a variety of animals that live in the area. The most well known to be seen in the Macchu Picchu area is the llama. I used this image of the llama head to create this geometric mark.

Flag Main Color Palette With it’s bold structure and straight edges, this typeface goes well with the main logo. This font is to be used in conjoined with the main logo.
These four solid strips represent the four regions that used to belong to the Inca Empire. They are in a “U� to symbolize unity with one another.
The Chakana is an important symbol to the Incans which represents the old ancient civilization. By adding this symbol it brings the old world to the new world.

I grabbed inspiration for the color palette from the surroundings around cusco. I wanted to encorporate everything that was unique about the place, from the landscape, nature, buildings and the people.
