A Letter from your Executive Assistant: What's Poppin Sharks! I hope the first week of school has been treating everyone well. For those who attended rally's and any other workshops this summer, I hope you took in all of the information that was given and reported it back to your club in order to make any improvements or changes in your club for the following year. This following week will be the last week of summer so go outside and enjoy the sunshine one last time before it's gone. Club visits are also coming around the corner and I'm very excited to see many of you guys at your very first club meeting of the year. Lastly, shout-out to class of 2017, let the senioritis begin. In Love and Service, Shayla Trinh Executive Assistant

I hope to see more of you at our DCMs this year, as not many have gone over the summer. Good luck with school (if you’re like me and is swamped with homework, keep going, I know you can do it!) and stay safe! Have fun during Halloween and homecoming! CLUB SPOTLIGHT

Gig Harbor High School We just had our first few Key Club meetings of the school year and introduced our club to the student body. We also had our . first event which was an extremely successful, Campus Clean-Up project w/ other clubs at our school. There was an email sent out to all of our school's faculty thanking the clubs that did the clean up from one of the maintenance guys at our school. We had a guest speaker come to our club from CIP, Community Inclusion Program.

Wilson High School They had their first meeting with about 75 attendees! During the American Lung Association bike race where we had about 25 volunteers from Wilson which was a fun first activity. We have also set up weekly dates at the Tacoma Rescue Mission and a Backpack drive filling backpacks with food. A lot of people have had fun at those events. It hasn't been fun to meet a bunch of new people and see them want to get involved

Fife High School During the month of September, we held two general membership meetings. Currently, we already have 30 members who has paid their dues. We also volunteered at football events selling popcorn, the Harvest Festival, and College & Career night. Overall, we raised $108 in popcorn sales during the Sept. 30th football game and $137 in donations during the Fife Harvest Festival.

Caroline Biddle,

Has been a member for three years now and currently has come to the majority of the opportunities that we have been involved in. Even though she has tough classes and she works a lot she still makes a lot of time to devote to key club which is amazing. IF YOU HAVE A NOMINATION, SEND THEM IN!
