BRAVA! BRAVO!

BRAVISSIMO!

Once again, we humbly thank our friends at BROADWAY CARES and THE CENTER for their unending service to our communities.

Dear friends,

On behalf of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, we are thrilled you have joined us for another edition of Broadway Backwards.

There’s a palpable energy that fills the theater at Broadway Backwards each year. The room buzzes with anticipation around the once-in-a-lifetime performances, and there’s a tangible warmth from the sense of community and shared mission. In this moment in history filled with so much anger, vitriol and inequality, it’s such a pleasure to take the next two hours to share in the talent and love filling this historic theater, while supporting those within the LGBTQ community and beyond.

Broadway Backwards brings together our two organizations to create a safer and more inclusive world. Whether through services for people living with HIV/AIDS or providing resources for LGBTQ youth and those recovering from substance use, Broadway Cares and The Center ensure that essential, life-affirming and lifesaving services are available for thousands of LGBTQ individuals and their families year-round.

Building and empowering a strong community while advocating for justice and opportunity has been at the core of The Center’s work for the last 40 years. Whether it is through our RiseOut advocacy program, created to fight for LGBTQ rights in New York State, our first-of-its-kind youth substance use treatment program or our 275-mile Cycle for the Cause bike ride to raise funds for our HIV and AIDS services, The Center brings together the diverse LGBTQ population of New York City in many ways.

At Broadway Cares, your support provided for $17.1 million in grants last year to health clinics, food service organizations, emergency financial assistance programs and housing initiatives in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. Because of your donations, Broadway Cares also is the single largest financial supporter of the vital social service programs of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), which provide the entire entertainment community with a safety net of help in times of need or crisis.

Thank you for supporting the work of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. And thank you for joining us in the beautiful New Amsterdam Theatre for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening

Sincerely,

THE & OF LGBTQ NYC

The Center empowers people to lead healthy, successful lives. We celebrate our diversity and advocate for justice and opportunity.

Dear friends,

I’m so grateful to be here with you tonight.

Broadway Backwards represents a lot of things to me.

It is about lifesaving help and hope that will be felt by so many right here in New York City and across the country.

Broadway Backwards also represents Broadway artists at their best, using art to cause change.

Another thing it represents is the beautiful ways in which tonight’s artists will uniquely express the queer experience through blissfully wonderful songs in the Broadway musical canon.

Most importantly perhaps, Broadway Backwards represents community - all of the theater professionals and artists who give selflessly in support of two extraordinary organizations that push the boundaries in transforming lives every day and all of you in the audience who have chosen to support these two important causes with compassion and big-hearted generosity.

Thank you for being a part of this special community here tonight at the New Amsterdam Theatre, where we will share an experience that will connect us for this brief time through music, laughter and joy. Everything this fabulous team of music and theater makers will share tonight was created especially for you. I hope it is as special to you as it has been for all of us as we put it together with love and care and a lot of laughter.

Here’s to change. Here’s to hope and help. Here’s to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Here’s to the many communities we are a part of and this very special community tonight.

With love,

Congratulations to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Center on another amazing show!

Thank you to the performers, staff & volunteers who worked so hard on Broadway Backwards and for your commitment to fighting HIV and AIDS!

Homes are our most valuable assets, and a significant part of their value—both intrinsically and otherwise—is the neighborhoods in which they are situated. It helps to have a trusted advisor with a comprehensive knowledge of both the local market at large, as well as your target neighborhood. The result? A successful deal and a relationship that lives well beyond the transaction.

As a Sutton Place resident and real estate agent for over 25 years, I can provide clients buying or selling a home in the neighborhood with a unique, competitive advantage. I truly live and breathe my work here. From knowledge of available homes and trends in pricing to neighborhood shops, dining and schools, consider me your “Sutton Specialist!”

Having achieved over half a billion in sales for Sutton Place homes alone, I am confident we can work together to either find your dream home in the area, or sell your current home at top dollar. As a matter of fact, there are very few buildings and co-op boards I haven’t worked with in this beautiful neighborhood. Let me be a resource for you as you navigate your Sutton Place real estate journey—not merely a real estate agent, but a true advisor.
