OUR PHILOSOPHY
Brown, Richardson + Rowe’s landscape planning and design projects include new or rehabilitated multifamily developments, mixed-use developments, affordable residential developments, senior housing, and adaptive reuse of historic properties. We work at a variety of scales including neighborhood master planning, development site designs, and roof deck detailing. We have assisted in many successful community processes to help gain the trust of abutters. Throughout our collaboration, we can help make each development project a success.

BOSTON, MA
CLIENT: Division Of Capital Asset Management And Maintenance
SIZE: 4 Acres
COMPLETION: Fall 2006
The site design respects the long history and landmark status of the former Boston Waterworks, which has been converted into residential housing and office space. The views to the complex are virtually unchanged since the nineteenth century. The simple setting of rolling lawns and specimen trees enhances the buildings. By maintaining the generous landscape setback with its allée of mature oak trees, Brown, Richardson + Rowe preserved the fine landscape tradition of the Waterworks and created new engaging spaces for residents.
