Pillars of water rise high in the air, flames dart from unseen sources, vari-colored lights play upon the ever-changing cloud forms which float over this scene. GENERAL MOTORS HIGHWAYS HORIZONS AT NIGHT. The exhibit actually is four buildings, located on the four corners of a spectacular and imaginary full-scale street intersection of the future. The buildings are joined into the over-all exhibit structure by elevated pedestrian sidewalks, which extend for a full city block in two directions. The street below is designed for motor traffic and contains sixty motorcars, trucks, buses and taxicabs. "Previews of Progress," a stage show of science and research, is presented in the General Motors Auditorium.

THE AVIATION BUILDING
was designed to give visitors the impression of arriving at a large and busy airport. In the central portion of the structure is an exhibit of the latest type of plane, including the plane of tomorrow. At the floor level, exhibits of agencies cooperating to increase the safety and speed of air travel.
CONTEMPORARY ARTS BUILDING
houses the most comprehensive exhibit of works by living American artists ever assembled in this country. The keynote of the exhibition is "Democracy in Art," and every artist in the country was given an equal chance to have his work represented at the Fair.
