INSPIRED BY REAL PLACES This timberframe home was created through a meticulous collaboration between the owner and architect, to reflect the owner’s family and its values – designed to remind the owner of his ancestor’s multi-generational farm in Illinois while accommodating five sons, a large extended family, and a desire to share the beauty of Big Sky with family and friends. Those humble beginnings are reflected carefully throughout the spaces. An apparently modest rustic lodge and barn greet guests from the up-mountain driveway, belying a complex of large scale and beauty.
