Buddha’s Conception
The demand for air services in Nepal grew following the restoration of multiparty democracy in 1990. The economic liberalization laid the foundation for new investments resulting in the growth of the service sector and infrastructure development. Amidst this rapidly changing socio-economic condition, former Supreme Court Justice Surendra Bahadur Basnet identified a new opportunity for investment in transportation and subsequently founded Buddha Air in 1997.
