DOMINIK STALDER
Hotel Manager, Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne
Dominik Stalder has been a key member of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne team since its pre-opening phase 2016, playing an instrumental role in revitalizing the resort during its ten-year renovation. As Hotel Manager, Stalder now oversees the operations of this prestigious luxury destination, ensuring its continued success at the highest level of hospitality.
With extensive experience in managing high-profile events, Stalder most recently served as Project Leader for the High-Level Conference on Peace in Ukraine in June 2024, the largest diplomatic event in Switzerland’s history. Under his leadership, the event brought together 1,000 international VIPs, including 57 heads of state, supported by over 1,000 staff. This logistically challenging event was successfully executed thanks to Stalder’s professional expertise, leadership and close collaboration with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and further partners.
Stalder's impressive career at Bürgenstock Resort has seen him hold several key positions in various departments. As Assistant Food & Beverage Director in 2017, he played a crucial role in the resort's grand opening in 2018 welcoming over 1,000 guests His notable achievements also include overseeing the resort’s 150th anniversary celebrations in 2023, which brought together over 4,000 guests, as well as organizing major international conferences and corporate events.
Stalder’s subsequent roles included Director of Events & Entertainment and Executive Assistant Manager. During his time in these roles, he homed in on his skills in event planning, project management and team leadership as well as managing Food & Beverage, Events and Projects. His hands-on approach and problem-solving skills have consistently delivered outstanding results, positioning the resort as a global leader in luxury hospitality.
Originally from Schwyz, Switzerland, Stalder is a graduate of the SHL Swiss Hotel Management School in Lucerne, where he earned his ‘Dipl. Hotelier(e)-Gastronom(in) HF’ certification gaining in-depth knowledge of hospitality management. His career began with a chef’s apprentice at the GIBZ Gewerblich-industrielles Bildungszentrum Zug, giving him a strong foundation in the culinary arts that complements his understanding of the food and beverage industry. In addition to his outstanding project management, communication and team leadership skills, Stalder is fluent in German and English.
