Insulation in the Background Owens Corning is expanding its Thermafiber RainBarrier continuous insulation portfolio with the introduction of Thermafiber RainBarrier Dark, designed to blend into the background and let the façade take the spotlight. Equipped with a fiberglass dark veil facing material that is adhesively applied and manufactured to maintain its integrity post-installation, the mineral wool insulation defends against thermal bridging and suppors the energy efficiency of the envelope. Noncombustible mineral wool continuous insulation is also engineered to repel and drain water and manage vapor moisture.
