Inspiring creators of the 20th Century European home The present auction is caracterized by truly pioneering design. Whether it is regarding works by Alfred Grenander, the Swedish architect working in Berlin in the early 1900’s, the inventative textile treasures created in the Märta Måås Fjetterström workshop in Båstad, the unique carpet from one of Arne Jacobsen’s all-encompassing interior projects, the stained pine furniture by Axel Einar Hjorth, his contemporary Gerald Summer’s iconic chair made out of one single sheet of plywood or the handcrafted and bold jewellery by Torun Bülow Hübe. They were all pioneers, in one way or the other. Works by all those and a lot more of the important names that were creating the 20th Century European homes are to be found included in this inspiring sale. Enjoy!
