MAKE IT A WORK OF ART

There are many key aspects to doing good for not only your community but the Earth as a whole. For me whenever I can, I’ll pick up trash that I find randomly along the road or if I come across it. One simple thing like that makes all the difference. But it doesn’t just improve the Earth; it can better you as a person As wcsu edu has stated, "Reducing the risk of depression is another important benefit of volunteering A key risk factor for depression is social isolation. Volunteering keeps you in regular contact with others and helps you develop a solid support system, which in turn protects you against stress and depression when you’re going through challenging times.” It’s a win win. We only have one Earth, if this one dies by our neglect we don’t have a back up Even if it’s just picking up one piece of trash it’ll make all the difference in the world. And if everyone were to pick up at least one piece of trash there would be over 300 million fewer pieces of litter. If every person picked up 10 pieces of litter, there would be 3 billion fewer pieces damaging our environment. Trash has been the number one cause of animal deaths, and just think about how many innocent lives would be saved. Community service doesn’t just stop at trash. You can volunteer to help serve food to those who are less fortunate than others. You’d be helping many families and many people. It’s a rewarding thing to do. Many jobs and even people admire those who do such acts of kindness. There’s many different acts of community service. It doesn’t just stop at trash or serving food, there’s a wide variety of things to do in order to help your community. Make it a goal to do an act of service. Pick up a piece of trash, help a stranger in need, give someone a compliment, etc. Make the community a place you’d brag about. Then apply it to the rest of the world. Make this planet the best out of them all, make it a work of art.

For decades Key Clubs have worked with March of Dimes to impact the lives of babies and mothers everywhere. We continue that tradition in holding multiple fundraisers a year to combat the crisis of preterm birth.
