Autumn Programme 2015

AUTUMN PROGRAMME

WELCOME TO THE NEW SEASON There is a packed and varied programme at the Burnavon this autumn, when fans of all types of arts should find something to satisfy their appetites. As always, music is a strong feature in our programme. This year, Tunes4Change will sadly happen for the tenth and last time. The brainchild of Clare McCrystal, the annual concert has raised £59,000 for the children’s charity, the NSPCC, over the last 10 years. There are plenty of laughs to be had this season with local and international standup from award winning comedian Sean Lock and local funny-man Micky Bartlett. Comedy and tragedy take centre stage in Green Shoot Production’s brand new play Two Sore Legs, and in a double offering from the pen of Carol Doey, which showcases the humour that she is most known for as well as an unusually dark side, in two one-act plays. For their fabulous new production, Ballet Ireland presents a classic production of Coppélia. With its nod to the movie glamour of yesteryear, its captivating dance and charming music, this ballet will enchant and enthral audiences of all ages. With exhibitions that shine a light on the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s wonderful collection and the work of local artist, Maisie Moody, workshops for you to try and of course, the eagerly awaited annual Stewartstown panto, directed by Brian Morgan, there’s sure to be something to brighten up the dark autumn months at the Burnavon. Looking forward to seeing you over the coming months. The Burnavon team Box Office: 028 8676 9949
