St Mungo’s is out on the streets, every day and every night, bringing people sleeping rough inside into safe, secure homes. Our mission is to end rough sleeping, for good.
Whenever we’re needed, we’re here, to:
Develop employment skills
The cost of living crisis and an enduring lack of affordable housing led to 26% more people rough sleeping in Autumn 2022 in England, compared to the year before.
Last year:
We supported
28,300
who were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
69% of our clients have a mental health issue that causes distress or hinders recovery.
Provide emergency support to save lives
Improve mental and physical health
The average age of death for a man who dies while sleeping rough, or in emergency accommodation is 45; for a woman it is 43.
Provide long term accommodation

people were provided with housing and support on any given night.
Just over 20% of our clients were women (5,928 out of 28,359).

We need to build new partnerships to end homelessness and rebuild lives so that together we can continue to find solutions to the challenges ahead. Every day, we work closely with a wide range of partners, and support some of the most vulnerable people in society. Our partners donate their time and energy, their expertise and their money, they add value to our services and amplify our client’s voices.
