How do we register for programs? To register for a program, please call the Deer Grove Leisure Center at (630) 766-7015. Registration is open Monday-Friday, 8:00A-4:00P.
Recreation staff will be in touch with more detailed directions when needed for each activity, and if curbside pickup is required. Scheduled pickups for kits will be available the Monday before a class begins at the DGLC from 9:00A-4:00P.

Are programs refundable?
Unfortunately, programs are non-refundable due to limited supply availability.
When is the deadline to register for a program?
The deadline to register for a program is 7 days before the scheduled starting date of the program.

Dear Residents,
The Park District, in response to the present challenging circumstances, has taken on new procedures to continue providing services safely to the community. We have closed our parks, playgrounds and facilities in accordance with the Governor’s executive orders. We have promoted best practices according to CDC and IDPH guidelines in order to keep our residents safe. We have directed our non-essential staff to stay home and work remotely when possible. We have worked with other taxing bodies to coordinate plans that are consistent with village-wide initiatives that concentrate on making our community as safe as possible. We have kept in communication with our most vulnerable residents on a regular basis to make sure all is good and to provide relief from possible social isolation. The district has constructed a plan to continue to provide programs in an organized, safe and strategic manner. Enclosed is a digital brochure that has fun programs for the entire family. We have attempted to bring the park district
to you in your home, office or a place of your choosing. Virtual programming has become a new way to enjoy new things that you can experience whenever you want. Our staff has worked hard to provide an outlet to being at home and a way to experience things you may have not considered in the past. Unlike some other virtual programs that link viewers with instructors you don’t recognize, our programs were done by our staff that you know and in return they know you. We have used our parks, facilities and home-grown ideas to bring into your world. These programs were designed, initiated and done for your families by Bensenville Park District staff. I encourage you to participate in our virtual programs. Please let us know what you like or things you’d like to see. We’re open to ideas, as we’ll have more programs in the future. We anticipate the day we are standing side by side with you and your families as in the past enjoying each other’s company. It seems like things that bothered us in the past aren’t that important anymore. We know what is important now is staying home to stay safe, watching out for each other, following safety guidelines and being patient with each other. We Will Be Together Again Soon. Joseph C. Wood Street Fitness Center Cycling
Are you ready to get back on your bike? Want to get into shape for our Virtual Bike n Run Marathon (see below)? Great news, we are moving our new stationary Matrix Cycling bikes outside and for the summer! Individual registration will be required for each class, current fitness memberships will not be accepted at this time. In accordance with Governor Pritzker’s plan to Re-Open Illinois, as soon as Illinois enters into Phase 3 we want to be ready to help you get your fitness goals back on track. Our personal training program involves one-on-one training for ages 14+. Our trainers will work with you to help meet your health and fitness goals in either 30 minute or 60 minute sessions. Social Distance Shuffle Virtual 10K Run/Walk
Take part in Bville Park’s first ever Virtual 10k Run/Walk. Each week participants will be required to run or walk at least 1 mile and submit their run results through the MapMyRun App. Weekly submissions are due Sundays by 3:00pm. This event will run for 6 weeks, and upon completion, each participant will receive a Race Tech shirt and medal. (TL)
Bville Bike N’ Run Virtual Marathon
Bville Bike N’ Run Virtual Marathon is a competitive race to be done virtually. Each participant will be given 2 weeks to bike 13.1 miles & run the other 13.1 miles. Total mileage does not need to be done in one go! You may combine multiple days to complete your run/bike. All results must be saved and submitted to tlinder@bvilleparks.org and your run/bike results and times need to be tracked through the MapMyRun App. Each participant will receive a Race Tech shirt and medal. The Golf Course is Open
In accordance with DCEO, and looking out for the safety of all of us, all booking of tee times must be done online. To book a Tee Time online go to WhitePinesGolf.com/TeeTimes. At the present time, golf leagues will be on hold until further notice. We encourage our leagues’ players to reserve tee times online. We understand these restrictions will change the way some of us play golf, but safety is above all a priority for us. We believe these mandates set by DCEO will go a long way in keeping us all safe. Play will be allowed in foursomes starting May 29. Tee times will be spaced 15 minutes apart. Our driving ranges, practice greens, clubhouse, and 37 Bar & Grill will be closed. Riding carts will be available but single rider only, unless players are from the same house. Golfers must supply all equipment needed to play golf. Pull cart and club rentals are not available. Players shall maintain adequate social distancing.

This science series provides children with the opportunity to learn about science in the spirit of adventure that stimulates their natural curiosity! Get ready! Get Set! Move!
How many ways can toddlers use their bodies? Each week we will create a movement activity. Toddlers stay engaged while playing animal games, acting out stories, playing with balls and maneuvering through mini obstacle courses. Whether your child is high energy or slow moving, this class will inspire imagination and movement. (PS)
Mini Picasso Mural Art
Engage your toddler in a large scale mural project outside! Create a family mural using your imagination and self-expression! Learn to work together to create a unique piece of art to display in your home. Art kits include a roll of mural paper (10’) and several art mediums and brushes. Poppin’ and Hoppin’ Toddlers
Get the energy out! You and your toddler will have a blast while you jump, bounce, skip and hop to popular children’s music. This class is great for you and your little one! Mystery Box
Pick up your Bug Huntin’ kit from the Bensenville Park District and make your way outdoors. Believe it or not, there are bugs everywhere you go, and it’s your job to find them. From ants to butterflies, each specimen has something unique to share. Having a hard time identifying your creature? No problem! Join us for a chat about what you may have found and its role in the environment. In our chats we will discuss all you need to know about your finds! We ask that you return your little bugs back to their home after you get a good chance to observe them. (PD)
Something mysterious is happening in Bensenville. This unique experience will take you across the Village as you use your best detective skills to solve puzzles, decipher clues, and have fun. Everything you need to solve the case is packed into a box and will be available for pick-up at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, making this a wholly self-guided experience. (LS)
Slime Box
Get your Slime on and get your hands dirty! For the summer you can purchase our hand-crafted kit that will give you the supplies and instructions on how to make 5 different kinds of slime. (TL)
Craft Box
Express your creativity, learn a new skill, and have fun with our craft box! Twice a month a carefully curated box of supplies to make a fun craft will be prepared and available for pick-up at the Deer Grove Leisure Center. Along with the box of supplies, participants will gain access to exclusive videos that will provide a walk-through of the process of making the craft. Sign up for one or as many boxes as you’d like! Exotic Animal Hour with Crosstown Exotics
Activity Kits & Boxes
Join us over Zoom for an exotic animal hour that will be up close and personal with a variety of different animals. The professionals at Crosstown Exotics are excited to introduce you to their scaly friends and answer any questions you may have about the animals. (TG)

Youth Programming Crafty Crafters
Tune in to make one of a kind crafts from the comfort of your own home. We will be doing a virtual explanation of all the steps. You can make these crafts with supplies from your closets. Any additional supplies can be picked up at the Bensenville Park District! We will show you how to make projects you can wow your friends with. During our meeting time, you will be able to ask questions and discuss your ideas to make it even better. Virtual Kids Karate Club
This 12 video series program includes games, drills and actual classes that mirror the in-person classes. Students can particpate on their own, or the whole family can participate together. At the end of the course, students will be eligible to test for their next color belt, where they can see their achievements as they advance through the program. Grab your Quarantine partner and come sign up for the bags tournament! All games will be played via Zoom and be superivsed by a BPD Staff member. Games will be played to 21 with no bust. Social Distance Shuffle Virtual 10K Run/Walk
Bville Bike N’ Run Virtual Marathon
Bville Bike N’ Run Virtual Marathon is a competitive race to be done virtually. Each participant will be given 2 weeks to bike 13.1 miles & run the other 13.1 miles. Total mileage does not need to be done in one go! You may combine multiple days to complete your run/bike. All results must be saved and submitted to tlinder@bvilleparks.org and your run/ bike results and times need to be tracked through the MapMyRun App. Each participant will receive a Race Tech shirt and medal. Go on a quest to discover the great parks of Bensenville Park District. Starting at the Deer Grove Leisure Center you will be given a task or a riddle you will have to solve that will lead you to another one of our parks. Complete all the riddles and submit your results to get entered to win a $100 gift card. Swing by the Bensenville Park District for a drive-by ice cream social. You don’t even need to exit your car! A friendly Park District employee will get your ice cream and a to-go crafting kit to keep the kids busy when you get home. (TG)
Go head-to-head with your friends and neighbors in this family friendly trivia tournament. During this turn-based trivia match, families will be asked questions one-by-one, with the most correct answers at the end of the round earning a point and ten rounds per evening. This wholly virtual experience will take place over video and from the comforts of your own couch. Adult Programming Puppy and Basic Obedience Classes
Use your time at home wisely and train your dog with the help of the Bensenville Park District and For Your K9! We are offering a 4 week online courses for a cost of $120. Meetings will be the same time each week and participants will call in over Zoom. Each week you will learn 2 new exercises. In addition to the two exercises there will be an educational segment to help with behavioral issues that may be happening (such as housebreaking, mouthing, barking, jumping, etc.). The education on behavioral issues will be tailored to each class based on what that class needs. Min 4 | Max 8. (TG)

Swimming Safety Talk with Todd
The leading cause of preventable deaths in children under the age of four is accidental drowning. With summer around the corner, whether you have a small backyard pool or are going to a water park, keeping your kids safe while around the pool is essential. Bensenville Park District will be hosting a free Zoom talk/discussion to go over backyard and general swimming pool safety. Have a question you want to ask? You’re probably not the only one! Jump on in to discuss with Todd any question you have about swimming safety. Todd Linder has been working for 18 years in the Aquatics Industry and swam competitively for 15 years. In his experience he has taught swim lessons and water safety, coached numerous swim teams and has helped Cub Scout dens, from Tiger’s to Webelo’s, attain their Aquatic badges. Not all questions will have straight answers so join in on the discussion so we will all have a safe swimming summer. (TL)
