DIY Recycled Paper New!

Have a pile of old receipts, scrap paper, and junk mail you’ve been meaning to recycle? Why not turn it into your own gorgeous, homemade paper? During this class we’ll go over the process of making DIY paper out of old scraps with materials you likely already own. The paper you make will be available for pick up the day after class. New! Painting and Pencils Workshop

This class will introduce students to drawing and painting techniques. During the first half of the class, we’ll cover sketching with pencils before moving on to exploring painting, blending techniques, layering, and color effects. Intro to Poetry

Are you interested in poetry? Learn from the greats of poetry, from the writers of ancient epics to contemporary wordsmiths, in this class. Each week we’ll learn about a new style of poetry, practice crafting our own poems, and share our work with our classmates. Min 4 | Max 9. (LS)

Virtual Voice Lessons

Get virtual voice lessons from one of the experts in the field! Dr. Lara Brooks is a University of Illinois trained professional holding a Doctors of Music. Her concentrations include jazz, pop, musical theatre, and classical voice. Each 30 minute lesson will give students the opportunity to learn healthy techniques in one of these styles. Virtual Saxophone, Flute, and Clarinet Lessons

Dr. Robert Brooks received his Doctoral degree in Music from the University of Illinois. His concentrations include classical and jazz. His attention to detail and love of music makes him a caring, enthusiastic instructor. All lessons are virtual over Zoom and are 30 minutes long. Prices are per lesson. (LS)

Virtual or In-Person Piano Lessons

Marianna Milcheva has been a piano instructor, teaching preschool children through adults, since 1981. Marianna provides a positive atmosphere for learning, progress, and fun. Lessons include: notation of music, balance of technique, sight-reading, improvising, ear-training, singing, and recitals. Each lesson is 30 minutes and 4 lessons must be paid in full before class begins. (LS)
