Notes About Our Trips
Transportation is provided in our new deluxe 36 passenger mini-bus, equipped with a wheelchair lift and can accommodate 2 wheelchair passengers. Please indicate at registration if you require a wheelchair spot on the bus or have any special needs. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis, when accompanied with payment. If a trip is full, we strongly encourage you to put your name on the waitlist. Many times there are cancellations, additional tickets may be acquired, or an additional date may be scheduled. If the deadline has passed, please call to check for availability. We encourage participants to bring their own reusable water bottle in an effort to support our environment.

Rock of Ages
A small-town girl with Hollywood dreams meets a big-city boy chasing his rock-star fantasies on the infamous sunset strip in L.A. With the historic Bourbon Room as the backdrop, their love story unfolds right where the biggest names in rock got their start — all told through the mind-blowing hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Poison and more. Dancing Horses
The Dancing Horses Theater was created from one vision and an infinite love for horses. The show is meant to evoke memories that many of us have from childhood. This vision has been beautifully realized, specific to the unique performance venue. A talented team of creative, artistic, and technical professionals have come together to create a magical experience for you and your friends. There is nothing that compares to the showmanship of the dancing horses! Our summer trip will give an additional opportunity to see the rest of the animals on site after the show. Paddle Wheel Boat
An afternoon on the St. Charles Paddle Wheel Boat is a comfortable and beautiful way to soak in the summer. We will be cruising the Fox River, rain or shine, as the boat has a weather-protected first floor. Please be sure to come prepared with sun or rain protection, depending on the forecast. Don Quixote at the Lyric Opera House
The family-friendly ballet full of bravery, fantasy, and love. Yuri Possokhov’s fresh interpretation of this revered ballet classic centers on Don Quixote, an aging and eccentric nobleman, who imagines himself to be a valiant knight. Backstage Tour Paramount and Aurora Fire Museum
Come and see what goes on behind the shows at the Paramount Theater. Tour will be mostly walking for about an hour. We will get a history of the Theater, deco, and ghost stories. Lunch will be sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Then we travel down the road to the Aurora Fire Museum where we get a self-guided tour of the Museum. We will also have a presentation conducted by one of the museum staff about 10 Fires that shaped History. Register by 06/02. Min 10 | Max 18. TG
Odyssey River Cruise
Proof of vac. needed. The Odyssey architectural river cruise and three course lunch gives great views of the city on an upscale boat. The Odyssey river boat offers covered dining with a large front observational deck. The three course meal will feature appetizers, an entree, and dessert. Since this is a covered boat the trip will run rain or shine. Do not be late for check in!! We will not be waiting because missing the boat is not an option! Tall Ship Windy
Proof of vac. needed. Explore Chicago’s scenic shores with a relaxing sail around Lake Michigan. Take in the world-famous skyline, enjoy spectacular views, and discover the Windy City from the water. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Nothing says summer quite like baseball! Join us for a wonderful full-day trip as the Milwaukee Brewers face the Tampa Bay Rays. We will be seated in the shade in the first- level right field/outfield area. The bus will park in the designated area just a short walk away from the stadium. Come spend the day at the Dole! Tour the mansion, explore the farmer’s market, and get lost in the local art. The Starved Rock concert series is bringing the Ukulele Moonshiners, a four-part band that plays a mix of classics and originals. Cheny Mansion and Lunch
Proof of vac. needed. The Cheny Mansion tour is self-guided through the beautiful 12,000ft home. Featuring 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms with 3 flights of stairs. You won’t want to miss this trip as we discover all the wonders of Door County in four days on this whirlwind trip. Highlights: Step into history and tour Maritime Museum, learn the history of the Fish Boil, and experience the process and excitement of the boil before enjoying the delicious maritime tradition, take a trolley tour that features the history and geography of the area including Peninsula State Park and Light House, take a wagon ride over the causeway to the Island to see the magnificent view and the beautiful lighthouse on the quaint island of Cana, get ready to board the Washington Island Ferry for a narrated tour taking us to lots of wonderful stops including the Stove Church in the Woods, Fragrant Lavender Farm, Island Lavender and the Old School Beach and Farm Museum, we will visit the Creamy Goat Farm to see the goats and hear the story of how 4 goats became a restaurant production facility. Shipshewana Brown Bag Tour
This tour was such a blast in the past that we are repeating it with different stops and adding a day! This three-day tour begins with more free time in downtown Shipshewana for lunch on your own and shopping. After some free time, we will enjoy a performance at the Blue Gate Theater followed by a filling, family-style Amish dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant. The second day highlights some of our favorite stops, and begins a new Brown Bag Tour – visiting different Amish businesses and receiving a goodie for our ‘brown bag’. The final day completes the Brown Bag Tour and we head home. This is a cooperative trip with Wood Dale Park District. Queen Bee Quilting for Charity

Mindfulness for Seniors
Research shows that mindfulness-based practices can be extremely helpful for active adults. The interconnectedness of mind and body lie at the heart of mindfulness and this makes it highly relevant to older individuals. Come join us for an exploration using guided teaching and practices to empower you to focus on abilities rather than difficulties to help you feel more engaged about your own care. No class July 4.
