Mindfulness Fundamentals New!

This multi-week course offers close study in a variety of mindfulness-based topics, including basic practices like body scan, sitting meditation, walking meditation, gentle stretching, and mindful communication. By the end of the course participants will feel prepared to practically integrate a variety of mindfulness practices into their daily lives. Any level of mindfulness experience is welcome. Axe Throwing New!

Nothing beats the fun and adrenaline rush you get when you hurl an axe! The trained staff of Axeperts at Splinters in St. Charles will teach you the safe techniques of the exciting sport of axe throwing. We will be holding a tournament among all of our participants. For this trip we will also be making a dinner stop at Just Kabobs before axe throwing. Register by 03/04. Min 10 | Max 14. (TG)

DIY Macrame New! Plant Hanger

Macrame plant hangers are a real flash to the past!! These pot hangers are a blast to make and give your plants a great look. New! Tacos and Tequila Walking Tour of Chicago

Chicago’s vibrant and delicious Latino culture is highlighted on this 3-hour, narrated walking tour showcasing Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Pilsen is a neighborhood that overflows with music, art, culinary tradition, and nightlife and is home to award-winning restaurants and sensational murals as far as the eye can see. During the tour we’ll visit family-owned restaurants and panaderias serving authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails while seeing buildings that are covered in massive paintings that hint at the thriving arts community that exists here. Calm Coloring

During this calming program you’ll spend some time working on challenging coloring pages (designed for adults) while sipping tea and listening to relaxing music. Min 6 | Max 20.

Crochet Baby Sweater and Hat Intermediate

This adorable newborn baby sweater and hat set will be a gift that parents will cherish. For this course you must have a good knowledge of single and double crochet stitches. This project will require a little work each day, as the project has to move along to learn the next step each week. In this class you will be counting stitches and learning how to read a pattern. The project is small enough to accomplish or be close to finishing by the end of the course. A supply list will be given upon registration. Register by 01/11. Min 2 | Max 7. (TG)

Knit Lace Shawl | Intermediate

Having already a good knowledge of your knit and purl stitches, you can expand upon the basics to make a lovely lace rectangular wrap that works up quickly. A supply list will be given upon registration. Register by 02/15. Min 2 | Max 7. (TG)

Crochet Beret or Tam | Intermediate

This bobble tam hat will keep you warm and stylish. This is fun and easy if you already know your basic crochet stitches such as the chain and double crochet. Learn to crochet in the round and follow a pattern. The nice thing about tams, is that it doesn’t smash your hair down. Make one, and you will want another in a different color.
