Three doctors at Willis-Knighton joined to perform what they believe is the world’s first nonsurgical removal of a fibroelastoma attached to the aortic valve. Doctors found no reference to this type of procedure while searching options to help the patient. The lead cardiologist, Joseph L. LSUS CHANCELLOR APPROVES FUNDING FOR SCIENCE RESEARCH ANNEX

The LSUS Chancellor has approved a proposal from the College of Arts and Sciences to invest $425,000 to build a Science Research Annex at LSU Shreveport. Envisaged as a multi-purpose space, the 1600 square-foot Annex will be designed to transform according to research needs as they evolve. It will have the capacity to house a variety of projects that cannot be accommodated in existing campus laboratory space.
