While the demand and practice of ESG reporting have increased, there is still a considerable knowledge gap between ESG information and supply. There are various factors that are driving the knowledge gap, such as: varying ESG reporting standards and frameworks; voluntary reporting regimes; inconsistency and unreliability of data; and, steep costs to collect and report data. These factors can impede the endeavor to offer higher-quality data to investors and other key stakeholders in order to inform their decisions. Environmental and social metrics such as carbon, energy, waste, water, diversity, equity and inclusion can be extremely challenging to track and report, which makes it difficult to meet compliance and voluntary reporting requirements. As such, it’s critical to develop a verifiable measurement approach to comply with disclosure requirements and investor demands, and to utilize ESG reporting to showcase your meaningful programs and initiatives – as a demonstration of corporate values and as a competitive differentiator. twitter: @ACILegal linkedin: American Conference Institute

Embedding ESG into the Corporate Strategy microphone-alt Margaret Anne Hill, Partner, Blank Rome LLP Paul White, Partner, Resolution Economics ESG is no longer a siloed concept, but is something that needs to be embedded in a company’s entire strategy and operations. Companies are facing growing pressure from investors, regulators, shareholders, customers and employees to transform their business with an ESG lens in everything they do. To embed ESG into the operating model, it’s necessary to understand requirements for workforce, supply chain, operations, controls, technology, infrastructure, and governance. In this session, our faculty members will discuss all aspects of reporting across the ESG spectrum, with real world examples of the metrics and key data points that are needed to satisfy investors, regulators, board members and talent. 6:00
