Stuffed Animals Audio Big eyes, soft fur, button noses. Enough to fill a truck, piled high around the room. Big ones, small ones, dogs, cats, monkeys, All different in their own way Some are new and some are worn, Some are old and others just born So many plush, cuddly creatures. Even though there are so many, And even though I can barely get out of the door The zoo in my room is made up of friends. Some have colors, some have spots, But they all stay there even when I'm not. They make me feel safe when the lights are out. They bring me joy when I'd rather pout. They listen well to all the stories I tell. I can share my hopes and dreams without them let out, A snicker, a sneer, a laugh or a shout They never give up on me no matter what I do. What would I do without stuffed animals?

Eye of the Tree Audio The sparkling sun shone bright on a sapphire blue sky. The songs of the birds were like bells, Waking the world as they landed on my wooden arms. I cradled the feathery balls with my leafy hands. Suddenly they flew away. What was happening? Was it something I said? Everything was quiet no barking dogs or chattering birds. The cotton ball clouds turned dark as night, The wind howled as it smacked me around like a game of pinball, Icy drops of water sprinkled from the sky, Coming down harder and harder until it felt like pebbles pelting me from above, A sound of a thousand drums rumbled from the thick blanket of clouds, Bolts of lightning crackled as they torched the ground around me. I thought the marching band of a storm would never end. But slowly it sputtered to a stop, The rain subsided, And the clouds rolled away to reveal a ribbon of colors against a brilliant blue sky, The birds were nestling in my branches again. What a perfect day.
