“Cookies” AUDIO FOR POEM Just sit back and think about how good cookies are. They are so enjoyable and have a taste as sweet as honey. Your face lights up like a light bulb when you see them in the oven. The smell of them could make you do anything to get them. Cookies have a texture that is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. No matter what shape, size, or flavor cookies are always delicious. You can get cookies pretty much anywhere. There are even cookies at gas stations. You can make cookies yourself or you can buy already made cookies. Either way they are delicious. No matter how hard you try you can’t just eat one cookie, you have to eat more. There is always a cookie for someone. Some like sugar, some like chocolate chip, some like oatmeal raisin, and so many more. Cookies to a hungry stomach is like ice for a bruise. Cookies to anybody is like milk to kittens. Cookies can brighten up anyone’s day just by being themselves. The feeling of wonderfulness when you bite into a cookie is like being able to ride a bike without falling for the first time. Cookies were and will always be great whenever you bite into one.
“The Blank White Wall” AUDIO FOR POEM
I am just a blank white wall with windows that are not nice Leaving big open holes in me. There are push pins, posters and staples piercing my skin. No one seems to care. People kick me leaving black skid marks That are almost impossible to come off. Although I am strong I do not enjoy people leaning on me. Using me for their advantage. They try to make me better by putting posters and fancy stickers on me, But what they don’t realize is that I am a great wall just the way I am. Even if yellow walls or green walls may be fancier, I am me and that is all that matters. If you don’t like me for the blank white wall I am, Then there is something wrong with you not me. How would you feel if I treated you the way people treat me.
“The Lady Who Always Wore High Heels” AUDIO FOR POEM A lady named Ruby always wore high heels. Ruby wore high heels in the summer. Ruby wore high heels in the winter. Sometimes she wore red sometimes she wore blue. She just always wore high heels. It depended on her mood if she was glum she would wear one inches. If she was super ecstatic she would wear stilettos. If you ever tried to get Ruby to wear any other shoes she would refuse and give you a huge list of reasons why she only wears high heels. She says they are comfy, beautiful, and make her look tall and sophisticated. One night her friends came into her bedroom and took away all her high heels and replaced them with flats. The next morning Ruby did not know what to do. She has never gone a day without wearing high heels. Ruby decided to make some out of card board and duct tape. Although she made high heels they were very uncomfortable and they always fell apart. The next day Ruby asked her friends wear her heels had gone and they answered her by saying “we burned them”. Ruby was so angry with them. She felt pugnacious towards her friends. She went home and thought long and hard about if her friends did the right thing for her or if they did the wrong thing. Ruby wanted her friends to be wrong so badly, but on the inside she knew they were doing a nice thing for her. The next day Ruby decided to try on the flats. They were the most comfortable but yet fashionable things she had every tried on. Ruby became obsessed with flats and from then on she was known as the lady who always wore flats.
