OM3 50/125µm fibre, also known as 10Gig fibre, is now the entry level standard for a lot of new installations where the requirement to transfer data is classed as moderate. Using lasers as the drivers OM2 & OM3 cables carry vast amounts of data at either 850nm or 1300nm in some cases to 550m.

Using the OM3 50/125µm fibre in a tight buffered format makes for a simple, easy installation indoors. With no messy gel to clean up and simple fibre termination, the tight buffered OM3 fibre comes in a range of fibre counts and is rugged enough to take on difficult routing over long distances. The UV resistant Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) jacket also enables it to be used outdoors or run between buildings in ducts.
