OM4 50/125µm fibres are great for high-speed data transfer around and between buildings. With lower losses than OM3 fibre, OM4 is becoming the “go to” standard. OM4 fibre is backwards compatible with OM3 and can use the same connectors. Although more expensive, OM4 fibre is coming down in price as volumes increase. Stocked in armoured and unarmoured.

Tight buffered OM4 50/125µm fibre is laid in a bed of E-Glass yarn and offers great tensile strength and crush resistance whilst being easy to terminate. Due to the low loss performance OM4 fibre provides, installations can either be over greater distances or have more couplings in them whilst still providing superior performance over OM3, with which it is fully backward compatible. Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) UV resistance jackets make the cable suitable for installation internally clipped to tray or externally run through ducts.
