SSoA MA/ad Portfolio Introduction to CAAD Lecturer: Dr Mark Meagher
Phase I -Aim was capturing the historical atmosphere and the characteristic of Portlandworks -Our group focused on windows, doors and brick detail of Portlandworks through using of 3Ds Max rendering and animation techniques to repesent.
-Using both wireframe and realistic rendering to show the detail of the windows and brick works in Portlandworks
Lightining feautes and environment
Phase II -Aim is to design innovative architectural installation for public interaction at PortlandWorks.
Concept -My conceptual idea is born from Portland Work history. Building is famous with the knife and steel work. So I inspired from progress of melting steel. At that period its really soft and easy to give shape. -According to that I design ‘exhibition’ area for the artists. Besides that I don’t want to create this space only for exhibition purpose. That area also will used for sitting and resting area. -I used CV curve, loft and cloth technique to create exhibition installation in 3Ds Max
