MARIKINA NEW MODE OF SAFETY Stay Safe App for all Marikenos
by CHARLIZE LIGAYO
The City of Marikina recently launched its personalized Stay safe app for all Marikenos. Dated May 3, 2021, signed by Ms. Janet ObispoIt, acting city administrator, was communicated to all City officials that the new Stay safe app shall be implemented in all private and government establishments and offices. Its aim is to facilitate and make the contact tracing faster. Quick response is very important to prevent the spread of the virus and reach those who are infected as soon as possible.
Quick and easy that’s what the City of Marikina aims to do. It also removed the long lines outside for filling up forms like before. Now you’ll just have to show your QR code. Now, if you are a Marikeno make sure to register and fill up the forms so our contact tracers can easily locate you in times of need.
One of the great characteristics of this app is its ease of use. You just have to access the link then fill up the form with your correct data including cell phone number and email address and you will be added to the database. Once you enter any establishment or office, you’ll just have to show your QR code and then they will have a record of your whereabouts.

The Department of Education headed by Secretary Leonor Briones communicated the Deped Memorandum 027 to roll out the guidelines concerning the implementation of the graduation rites for Public and Private schools. Safety is still the main concern since the advent of Covid 19 and therefore, face-toface graduation will not be allowed. For public schools July 12, 2021, is the last day of school but depending on the ability of the schools it can be moved upon meeting with PTA or Parent Teacher Associations. On the other hand, Private schools may follow their own date of graduation according to their school Calendar. One of the most awaited events for both parents and children is their graduation. It is most fitting that we celebrate it but the Department is reminding us to be always vigilant and practice minimum health protocols. BY CHARLIZE LIGAYO

According to the vaccine statistics as of May 31, 2021, the total doses administered is 5,180,721. Though there are a total of 5,180,721 doses administered, only 1,206,371 people are fully vaccinated while 3,974,350 people are already done with their first dose. The average daily administered doses in the last
seven days are 144,402 and the average number of active reporting vaccination sites in the last seven days are 1,124. The number of operational vaccination facilities is determined by the country's current vaccine supply. The number of operational sites will grow as more supplies arrive, and our vaccination rate will increase.
The government is encouraging eligible people in priority groups A1 along with A2 and A3 to register, get vaccinated, and finish the required number of doses as scheduled. Unquestionably, vaccinated people are also required to follow minimal public health standards, as they could still become infected with COVID-19 and infect others. BY KT MAGHIRANG

Global Pandemic BY CHARLIZE LIGAYO
As we all know, we have been dealing with this crisis for over a year now. I can only summarize so many that have been affected by this global crisis. All of us are unprepared for what has transpired during the past year. We all know that there are two sides to a story, and this story happened to be one of them. Two sides refer to the good and the bad. Let me start by enumerating the bad. One can only imagine the unpleasant problems this virus will bring to all of us. It’s a curse by all definitions that you can find in a dictionary. It's a plague that swept us all on our feet. It’s like a thief in the night that no one suspects but then was able to do its deeds. Like all of the countries that are affected, we as one nation were not prepared. We were blindsided by what's to come, let alone the timing of Chinese New year which happens to be the largest migration of the Chinese population every year. The Global pandemic has caused a worldwide panic, ranging from loss of

income to loss of life. Many families both from Urban and rural settings find it difficult to adjust to the new normal that the government is implementing. Many breadwinners lost the ability to provide for daily sustenance and this led to unprecedented unemployment. The cost of managing the containment of the virus also led to unplanned government expenditures and borrowing. We will deal with the consequences of this later on but for now, we have to face the deadly virus face to face and hope for the best. Every day, we see the struggles of our kababayans. From the streets to the news feeds, we see many people begging for some assistance. Stooping down on their level just to seek help from us. If you try to picture this event in your mind, you will somewhat see a dark image in our existence that reflects a very sad and low point. It seems that there is no coming back to the way it is. Hoping for it to go away seems like a far-fetched thing and we
are only promised today. Many community pantries are trying to augment the help needed but we all know that this violates the health protocols and the stocks are not limitless. It’s good to see that we practice Bayanihan but come to think of it, we need change. Change in the way we see things, pay our taxes, prepare for the worse, and many more things. We need to be more proactive in the way we see our future. We have to learn from other countries how they are handling their problems.
Everything happening to us right now is a lesson. The timing could be questionable with the Philippines just starting on its feet and getting its name recognized in the international community, but this is the reality. No matter how prepared you are, always expect a curveball. Do not just rest on your laurels and relax. Anything can happen in an instant. You have to be prepared both financially, physically, and mentally. No one will give you a warning of impending doom.
Looking back in the years that went by, one can only contemplate the positive side of the story. Many people now realize that staying home wasn't too bad after all. Spending more time with yourself and your family was a great thing. And that we are designed to stay home and spend our time with our family. A lot of people are now realizing that position, power, and fame are nonessential and that you can be wiped out of this earth in just an instant. Many of our friends and relatives experienced this devastating event, not to see your loved one or to say goodbye. It is hard on all of us. We can hope for the best but not until we change our ways and how we treat mother nature. This is just a small lesson that this world is trying to teach us; to respect each other, to be good stewards of this planet and to treat each day like it’s the last, and to always remember that we only have one planet.

Be PROUD of Who YOU Are
The Rainbow Community: LGBTQIA
Source: NBC News Pride Month, which takes place in June, is the month where the world’s LGBTQIA communities come together and celebrate the freedom to be themselves. LGBTQIA is an acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual. Queer is the umbrella term for nonstraight people, intersex refers to those whose sex is not clearly defined because of genetic, hormonal, or biological differences and asexual describes those who don't experience sexual attraction. Another term commonly used in replace for the LGBTQIA community is the Queer community. Other groups the fall under the LGBTQ community are pansexual, demisexual, omnisexual, bigender, genderfluid, and many more. Pride Month originated on June 28, 1969, in New York’s Greenwich Village. Police raided Stonewall Inn, a gay bar, and hauled customers outside. Bystanders outside threw bottles and coins at the officers. New York’s gay community, being fed up after years of harassment by authorities, broke out in the neighborhood and the riots went on for three days. A year after, the nation's first Gay Pride marches were held. In 2016 the area around Stonewall Inn was designated a national monument. The Pride name originated on June 25, 2017, in Istanbul, Turkey, the 2017 LGBT Pride March was banned by the authorities. Despite the march being banned, the organizers defied the order before being dispersed by police and tear gas. Brenda Howard, a bisexual New York activist was nicknamed the “Mother of Pride” for organizing the first Pride parade to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. The rainbow flag was created in 1978 when an artist and designer Gilbert Baker was

BY ZENDHRANE USALLA commissioned or paid by San Francisco city supervisor Harvey Milk- one of the first openly gay elected officials in the US- to make a flag for the city’s upcoming Pride celebration. Baker, a prominent gay rights activist, took inspiration from the stripes of the American flag and from the rainbow to reflect the many groups within the gay community. There are also other flags for the other sexualities on the spectrum. Straight allies are also welcome to support and join Pride events. Some people wonder, why do we need the term allies? They said that everyone should be supportive and respecting our Queer Community and there should be more allies than homophobic people to the point where the term allies are no longer needed as it is the majority. But the reality is, there are more homophobic people out there, if not homophobic, than ignorant or uneducated. While we can’t really blame these uneducated people, they can’t really say that “this is all too complicated” or “kids nowadays just make everything up” as these sexualities have been around for centuries. Most people only know about lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. These people can invalidate or say that other sexualities and genders do not exist or are just made up. While these sexualities and genders have been around for quite a while now, some people still need to be educated about this and some even need convincing that there are other genders and sexualities other than LGBT. Another thing is that people say that people, especially teens who identify as a member of the LGBTQ community are just confused. It’s not just the older generations but also some members of Gen-Z, especially the younger ones, are also calling them confused. These members of Gen-Z are influenced by their
parents or grandparents since most Gen-Z members who call the LGBTQ community “confused” are kids, probably 7–12-year-olds, and kids tend to believe what their elders tell them. Schools should have orientations about the LGBTQ community, explaining how these sexualities and genders have been around for centuries and are valid. It has always been normal to us that almost no one stands up for Gay stereotypes and using the term gay as an insult, as if you should be ashamed for being gay. Also, liking feminine clothes and stuff when you are a male, means you are gay? This was normal to us but now, but we need to realize that being a feminine boy, or a femboy, as they call it, does not necessarily means that you are gay. The same goes for manly women, they are not necessarily lesbian. Gender and sexuality have different meanings. Gender is how a person identifies themselves, feminine, masculine, both genders, no gender, genderfluid, etc., while sexuality or sexual-orientation is who one is attracted to. Homophobia can be found everywhere, even in our homes. If you ask your parent on what would they do if their child is Queer, they’ll probably say they’ll send them to a Conversion therapy or also known as “Anti-Gay Therapy”. 29 states in America still allow this. This “therapy” is said to “cure” teenagers, and even children's’ Queerness. During the sessions these “therapists” electrocute people while they watch gay porn so they associate that image with pain, make kids vomit as a form of aversion therapy, encourage or even force kids to watch straight porn, drug and force them to have heterosexual sex and hold their “patients” down
for hours as they scream the gay out of them. And catch this, these “therapies” cost an enormous amount of money. There were reports of parents spending $35 000 just to turn their gay kids straight when in reality, they just get mental and physical abuse. Another homophobic act by the straights are “Coming Out” pranks, or basically straight people fake coming out. The reason why this is problematic is that coming out is a big deal to the Queer community because it’s nerve racking and it’s risky for them. They get disowned, kicked out of the house, imprisoned and killed, even. And in these pranks, the person pretending to come out somehow mocks Queers directly or unintentionally with stereotypes. And the people they “come out” to are really homophobic, saying stuff like “no you’re not” or “no, I don’t have a queer child” with no warning. The audacity they have to say these homophobic things in front of a supposedly Queer person, is disappointing. Another thing that homophobic people have up their sleeves are saying that Queer people just want to be different for attention or that straight people are unappreciated or left out, when in reality, the Queer community does not want to be different, they want to fit in with straight people, the majority of this world. Other things that straight people say is that Pride Month is too much, and very greedy and attention seeking of Queers while they have the rest of the 11 months left to them. The Queer community isn’t asking for attention or wants to be “different” or to receive “special treatment”. They aren’t making things confusing or this generation isn't making things up. The Queer community just wants to be accepted and treated equally.

THE TOXIC SIDE OF POSITIVITY “Good Vibes Only!”, is a trendy saying that has been going around a lot lately and is known by most. It may come off as motivational and positive, and it truly is, but little do most people know, this saying contains a toxic meaning, and we all must be educated on it. The toxic meaning we talk about in the first sentence refers to the emotional issue that has been spreading lately, especially amongst adolescents. This issue is Toxic Positivity, the belief that no matter how difficult or exhausting a situation could be, we should always stay positive and avoid spreading negativity or sadness at all costs, also known as, spreading “bad vibes”. Toxic Positivity is very dangerous and unhealthy for a person and should be frowned upon if ever encouraged or forced. It is very dangerous because it damages one's emotional health and makes people feel under pressured to be happy, even if deep inside they are feeling a completely different way. People start to have toxic positivity once they feel excessive and ineffective overgeneralization of a happy, optimistic state across all situations. If a person doesn’t want to show a part of themself and express their true feelings, they create a fake persona that everything is fine, they are happy, and that they should be positive to avoid creating an awkward situation with difficult emotions going around. If a person always sticks with the saying, “Everything happens for a reason, it is what it is'', they deny the truth and it breaks and damages our emotional health.
Because the truth is, it’s very important and healthy that we let our emotions out and express how we’re feeling. If we get angry, and the angry feelings aren’t acknowledged, they get buried deep within our body and could become an emotional scar that wouldn’t leave us for a long time unless we let it out. Suppressed emotions can later manifest in anxiety, depression, or even physical illness, which is why it is very fragile and dangerous for a person to always keep them to themselves. The person would lose connection with themselves, making it difficult for others to connect and talk to them. They might look unbreakable and tough on the outside, but on the inside, they just want to express how they’re feeling and tell others so they could get some emotional support and love. “Toxic positivity is forced, false positivity. It may sound innocuous on the surface, but when you share something difficult with someone and they insist that you turn it into a positive, what they’re saying is, my comfort is more important than your reality.” The words of Dr. Susan David, one of the world's leading management thinkers and an award-winning Harvard Medical School psychologist, are another very helpful reason why toxic positivity is intolerable and should be frowned upon. When someone is going through a tough time and needs consoling, it is only natural that a friend or a family member goes to comfort them and help them get through what they’re struggling with.
EDITORIAL
Written by: Journalism group 2
But if the person doing the comforting is insisting that they think positively and not be sad anymore even when they know the person struggling is still not ready, it gives off a different meaning. It shows that they just want you to stop crying or feeling sad because they feel uncomfortable. They are directly showing that they decided to go and “comfort” you not because they are trying to help you get through what’s hurting you, but instead to help themselves feel less awkward and uncomfortable because they don’t know how to deal with the situation. But let’s think on the other side of the issue, maybe the people who spread toxic positivity just don’t know how to comfort someone, and they think that if everyone is happy it will always be a good time even if on the inside they are not at all in the best state. People who execute toxic positivity say that you should always look at the bright side of life and be happy so that everyone around you wouldn’t feel uncomfortable and so that it would be “good vibes only”. That as long as something makes a person happy it should be normalized. They want positivity and positivity only, no sadness, negativity, anything that would create an awkward, deep, controversial situation. And don’t get us wrong, It’s a great practice to spread positivity, but we have to remember that to be positive means you are on the right side of the coin. You have to make sure that two toes are being stepped on. We can always help or support somebody by just being there, ready to listen to whatever they have to say without having to show any specific reaction.
The person who is opening up about their feelings to you trusts you, and you should respect how they feel and not force positivity on them when they’re in a situation that doesn’t require having a happy emotion. You have to realize that your opinion, may it be brutal or straightforward, is not the priority if you are not the one going through a tough situation. You are the one who should stay strong for the other person and comfort them in the best way possible and give them the right advice that will help they get through this hill in their life. We shouldn’t spread negativity, but we should also set limits for positivity. There may be times that we ourselves would not realize that we are actually spreading toxic positivity. In this case, we should quickly reassess the next thing you’re going to say and plan out how to help the person open up about what they’re feeling instead of keeping it in. Instead of practicing toxic positivity, aim for balance and the acceptance of both good and bad feelings of love, hate, fear, etc. rather than all-or-nothing thinking. If you're being influenced by toxic positivity, we encourage you to set healthy edges/borders with anyone who passes judgment on your real experience and speak your truth. It’s okay to spread positivity but always read the room and think if your words are helping or hurtful. Let’s all be helpful to one another and recognize the type of situation we could be in. Make sure to stay positive, but not for Covid-19!

According to a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) in November 2020, Filipinos think that teenage pregnancy is the most important issue women are facing today in the Philippines. New data states that 59% of Filipinos believed that the most serious issue is early teenage pregnancy. When I think about sex education, I remember all those awkward moments as a teenager when we had to sit at our desks and listen to our health teachers discuss topics that we talked about with our peers but never wanted to discuss with adults. However, a lot has changed since then. This is the reason why sexual education should be mandatory. I clearly know that Filipinos are very conservative about this topic, but I think it is about time to teach teens about sexual education. Some Filipino adults do not want schools to teach their kids sexual education and some even think it is funny, but it will no longer be funny if they become grandparents so early. One of the few reasons why it should be mandatory is that too many young people tend to receive confusing and

Sexual Education for the Next Generation conflicting information about sex and relationship as they become adults. Empowering young people to make educated choices about relationships and sexuality in a world where genderbased abuse, gender inequality, early and accidental births, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) continue to pose significant health and well-being risks. The importance of sex education cannot be exaggerated. It has been proven many times. We know that students who receive formal sex education in schools have sexual activity later than students who do not receive formal sex education. Sex education does not empower teens to have sex; on the other hand, it actually tells them the opposite from doing so. Some parents might think if sexual education is taught in school it will result to teens having intercourse and schools are okay with that, but Comprehensive sex education does not encourage kids to have sex. The practice of restraining yourself is the only certain way to avoid pregnancy and STDs, according to good comprehensive services. The difference is that these programs often provide
students with practical and accurate knowledge about the risks associated with different sexual acts, as well as how to increase their odds. Sexual Education likewise teaches teens to know safer options. One of the biggest problems with restraining yourself is that the only education is it denies teenagers the chance to learn about acceptable options other than restraining themselves. This is a significant issue, given that no method of sex education has been shown to successfully persuade teenagers not to have sex. This should be mandatory because it has a high chance of reducing the risks of teenage pregnancy, abortion, and even sexual risks. When teenagers are not given accurate and informative information about sexual risks, they have oral sex and even anal sex instead of the vaginal intercourse and it is not safe. It can cause transmission of several STDs. Abstinence-only curriculum allows students to refrain from sexual activity without ever explaining what sex is. Comprehensive sex education, on the other hand, can enable teens to make

more educated decisions before engaging in alternative sexual behaviors if it is taught in schools. Without this accurate information, teens might cause confusion and they might falsely assume that alternatives to vaginal intercourse are safe. “Sex education, including the spiritual aspects, should be part of a broad health and moral education from kindergarten though grade twelve, ideally carried out harmoniously by parents and teachers” These are the words of an American pediatrician Benjamin Spock. To sum up everything that I stated, Sex education should be included in any student's education. It should not be a choice to be involved or not, but rather a requirement. Why should parents be able to choose whether their children take a topic that they will use later in life? Sex education, like math and science, should be systematic, and medically correct, and taught during a student's school years. It has been shown to benefit students rather than harm them. It is not just a human right to have access to comprehensive and medically accurate sex education; it is also our moral responsibility as a community to educate the next generation. We are currently failing it though.

Never enough: stop the shaming All my life I’ve found the topic of body shaming to be so stupid. Not because it's sensitive and I’m never in the mood to talk about things like this. It’s because it's always been so simple to me, just don’t do it! It’s not that hard to just keep your opinions to yourself for the sake of others, right? But as I grew and had the opportunity to educate myself and learn more on this subject, I was able to see how complicated it could be and how many things can contribute to it. There’s no doubt that body shaming has been going around for many many years now, and it has been affecting women all over the world. One thing I didn’t know before getting on social media and all that, is that body shaming can come in many different ways. There’s fat shaming, skinny shaming, height shaming, hairline shaming, body color shaming and many more. But there’s certainly a difference between all these. Yes it is true that everyone is allowed to have insecurities and that none of us are perfect, but there are certain things that we should make sure we think about before expressing our emotions on this topic. What I mean by this is, notice how when someone says “omg you’re so skinny” it’s a compliment. But when someone says “omg you’re so fat” it’s a really bad insult. Well it’s because that’s what the beauty standard is now, that fat is ugly and skinny is pretty. People look up to skinny people, and admire their bodies and wish to be just like them. While fat people are shamed on and are restricted from many job opportunities. When skinny girls post things showing how insecure they are of their bodies, but try to make it look worse than it actually is, it’s actually quite offensive and insensitive to the people who are struggling to get at least close to what

they have. I’m sure these girls have good intentions, and again I am not saying they are not allowed to be insecure of their bodies, all I’m saying is that they don’t try to make themselves look bigger just to show that they have insecurities as well. Almost the exact thing goes for height shaming. People use being short as an insult, and consider people who are tall as praiseworthy. People who are tall have so much more opportunities when it comes to jobs, while short people aren’t able to do what they dream of doing, just because they don’t fit the height requirement. It is just terrible how people can’t do things just because of their height, something that they can’t control. When thinking of solutions for this problem I was thinking to myself, why not just spread body positivity? Well there is a problem with this, since this can also link to toxic positivity. There is nothing wrong with a woman being comfortable with her body, and there is definitely nothing wrong with other women complimenting her. But when other girls, and boys even, start promoting overweight, obese, or

body types, it could end up being a form of toxic positivity. We should never encourage these types of body types since they’re unhealthy, and damaging to our bodies. When we do this, we are “hyping up” wrong things that shouldn’t be praised. Body shaming is a terrible thing all around, and no one should experience being shamed and bullied just because of the way they were created by the Lord. Especially when people are still in the process of changing their appearance and fixing it for the better of their health and shape. We should lift people up and encourage them, instead of putting them down and judging them. Which is why we should stick to the quote “Never Judge a Book by it’s cover” since we never know what a person is truly going through. We should be more aware, educated, positive, and supportive all in all. Together we can fix this body shaming issue, for the better of the future generations of young women to come. Let’s do better.
What Does the Hotdog Classify As? up the first hotdog stand in Coney Island. The hotdogs that he sold were dachshund sausages in between a milk roll. Perhaps that is a clue, milk roll. Is the hotdog perhaps some sort of roll? Maybe, but a roll is usually a food wrapped in something, like bread or a tortilla. A hotdog is supposed to be placed in the middle of a piece of bread, indeed, but the bread must also extend to the sides of the weiner, so the hotdog being a roll is not the case. There are many types of sandwich, Open or Open-Faced, Plain, Pinwheel, Closed Tea, Ribbon and Mosaic or Checkerboard. Perhaps the sausage is just an open-faced sandwich? It is plausible and that may seem to be the answer at first, but if you look into it a bit deeper, you can discover that the definition does not match what the hotdog actually is. An open-faced sandwich is a piece of bread or toast with one or more food items placed on top of it. Like what we said earlier, a hotdog is supposed to be placed in the middle of a piece of bread, indeed, but the bread must also extend to the sides of the Weiner.
Alright, so maybe the hotdog isn't a sandwich, but what could it be? Could it be a burrito? Well, a burrito usually consists of a flour tortilla wrapped into a sealed cylindrical shape around various ingredients. While it's true that the hotdog is cylindrical, it's certainly not wrapped in a way that it's sealed. That's just not what a hotdog is. I know that I said that the hotdog isn't a sandwich, but maybe it's one of the types of sandwich that I haven't mentioned yet. Perhaps it could be a sub? A sub is a type of cold sandwich made from a cylindrical bread roll split lengthwise and filled with meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments. Maybe we're getting somewhere. This may be the closest we've gotten so far. The hotdog is something that has condiments and cheese, and it certainly has meat in it, maybe the odd vegetable if you want to get healthy. What if the hotdog is a burger? A hamburger is a sandwich consisting of one or more cooked patties of ground meat, usually beef, placed inside a sliced bread roll or bun. The patty may be pan fried,
grilled, smoked or flame broiled. But there's one slight problem, there's only one piece of bread that the wiener itself sits on. The other problem is a bigger problem, the meat used is ground, not a wiener. Well, what if the hotdog was a taco? It would fix the big problem that we had of what the wiener was sitting on, as the taco is just one tortilla bent to an almost Cshape, and the fillings, condiments and others are in the middle. But there's another problem here, the taco uses a tortilla, not a bun. We've tried multiple different types of food, but none of them seem to be correct. So, is that it? Is the hotdog not even classified as any of the other foods? That may not be so bad. When we reached this conclusion, there was a solution. What if the hotdog was its own thing? It certainly is different from other foods, and it is unique enough to not fit the criteria. So there, that's the conclusion, the hotdog is its own category of food, and I hope that this article ends the debates of the people.

Source: Science News
by KT MAGKIRANG Zebras are a type of single-hoofed animal native to Africa. Zebras are closely related to horses and donkeys, and they are all members of the Equus genus. The vivid patterns on zebras' coats are their most distinguishing feature. According to the San Diego Zoo, zebras are thought to have white coats with black or brown stripes because the stripes cease at their bellies and the inner side of their legs, which are white. Zebras, on the other hand, have black skin beneath

The mountain zebra's neck and torso have vertical stripes, whereas its haunches have horizontal stripes. According to the San Diego Zoo, certain plains zebra subspecies exhibit brownish "shadow" stripes between the black stripes. As per National Geographic, the zebra's stripes are thought to act as camouflage. Predators have a

As a result, answering the question of why zebras have stripes has been difficult and risky. Despite the increased strength of recent research, the answer remains unclear. So, stripes may have developed to

FUSION TECHNOLOGY by CHARLIZE LIGAYO
Technological advancements are pushing us forward to the future. These improvements in our lives are what keeps us developing our existence into the future. Many advanced technologies have already been discovered and witnessed by all of us. May it be in the field of medicine, Construction, Business, and Leisure. Scientists are working hard in keeping this flow of ideas and innovations continuous. Many billionaire tech giants like Tesla are spending Absurd amounts of money on developing eco-friendly cars that can lessen the CO2 emissions. Now, all of these advancements come with a price. Energy. Before moving forward, you need energy. In every action
there is an opposite and equal reaction. So before we can continue with our never-ending search for comfort and technology, We need to find new sources of renewable energy. Harnessing the power of the sun and water cannot do it alone. Relying on oil and coal is too damaging. Wind in some parts of the world is not feasible. Right now, Our dedicated scientists are working hard on harnessing the power of fusion. They have been experimenting on this limitless source of energy if only they can sustain the fusion reaction. USA, China, and Germany are all leading the way in developing the fusion reactor that will give us all the energy that we will need in the future.
One single reactor can power the whole grid of Luzon if this ever comes true in our generation. It's like the power of the sun but smaller. Many breakthroughs have already been proven that it is possible sometime in the future. China is leading the way in discovering this new power source. It's only a matter of time before they find a way to sustain the reaction inside the reactor. I believe that this will be our future. No steps can be made if we cannot solve our energy problem.
