London Cocktail Week The 2012 edition of London Cocktail Week will take place on October 814 in several venues across the city. Cocktail makers and connoisseurs will fly to London this weekend to attend seminars, enjoy tastings, discover new bars and learn from the best professionals in the industry. To celebrate London Cocktail Week, we’ve prepared this little guide of iconic cocktail recipes. What’s your favourite?
Bloody Mary 1 oz vodka 3 oz tomato juice Tabasco 1 dash Worcestershire sauce 0.5 oz lemon juice 1 celery stick
Combine the vodka, tomato juice, tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Pour back and forth between two mixing glass and strain into a tall glass with ice. Garnish with the celery stick.
White Russian 2 oz vodka 他 oz Kahlua 他 oz cream
Pour the vodka and the Kahlua over ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass. Fill with cream and stir.
Cosmopolitan 1 oz vodka ½ oz triple sec ½ oz lime juice ½ oz cranberry juice
Mix the vodka, triple sec, cranberry and lime juice in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass and serve with a lime wedge.
Tom Collins 2 oz gin 1 oz lemon juice 1 tsp sugar 3 oz soda 1 cherry 2 orange slices
Shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar in a shaker with ice. Strain into a tall glass and add the soda, stir and serve with a cherry and 2 orange slices.
Mojito 1 oz rum Mint leaves 1 tsp sugar 0.5 oz lime juice 2 oz soda
Place mint leaves in the bottom of a glass, add crushed ice and pour the rum, sugar and lime juice. Add soda water and garnish with more mint leaves.
