SPOTLIGHT EVENTS
Tae Kwon Do Tornament On May 20th we were invited to volunteer at the International Tae Kwon Do Tournament. There were many positions available such as runner and ring manager. While only three of us attended this event, we enjoyed observing the matches, helping the contestants, and eating great food!

EVENTS IN REVIEW Goldstone Banquet On June 3rd, we had our divisional banquet at the Diamond Bar Golf Course! We all celebrated and recognized our achievements of our last term. Special guests at the banquet included our District Governor Mikayla Bisson and IP District Tech Committee! Our Past Past Lieutenant Governor Sophia Uemera attended as a guest and talked about KIWIN’S after high school and our IP Lieutenant Governor Ashley Abing shared a few last words to us.
May DCM Our Lieutenant Governor Zachary Chen hosted his first official DCM at Snow Creek Park in Walnut! We also had the honor of having District Secretary Holly Heh as a special guest. Attendees of the meeting made no-slip socks for children who are in the hospital.

UPCOMING EVENTS June DCM This month’s DCM will be held at Ronald Reagan Park in Diamond Bar. Here you will have the chance to pie Lieutenant Governor Zachary Chen and his EA Lei Wang! Clubs in our division will be selling food at this DCM, so don’t forget your wallet!

MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Victoria Kuang Junior year as a treasurer must ve alot of work how did you manage your time? Time management
and keeping track of my responsibilities were both really important for me. At times, it definitely was a bit of a struggle to balance everything, but I realized that keeping an agenda really helped.

What convinced you to join KIWIN’S instead of Key Club? I joined KIWIN’S mainly because of upperclassmen influence and my interest in community service. Although KIWIN’S and Key Club are both great organizations, I can’t say that I regret my decision!
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to read, watch TV shows and YouTube videos, and listen to music. I also enjoy playing around with photography and videography. Then there’s the outdoorsy side of me who likes playing tennis and staying in shape.
OFFICER OF THE MONTH
Scott Lai What encourages you to run for your current position? I wanted to work on
my procrastination and get better at doing things online like on excel, doing spreadsheets and working with google drive more. But mostly when I saw last yrs secretary Jodee do it I wanted to give it a shot as well.
Why did you join KIWIN’S I heard a lot about it when I was in middle school and heard that it was a club about giving back to the community so I joined it. KIWINS was the only club that I kept consistently going to meetings for so I decided to make myself an involved member.
What do you do in your free time ? During my free time, if there is any, I like watching Netflix and TV shows. I’m currently watching Breaking Bad and Grey’s Anatomy which are 2 really addicting shows. I also enjoy playing basketball and going over to my friends’ houses.
