Camden Jam: Arts and Music Festival September 9, 2 PM - 8 PM The City of Camden and Connect the Lots is proud to host the third annual Camden Jam: Arts and Music Festival on Saturday, September 9th. The festival will feature live music and cultural arts performances including six-time Grammy-nominated American R&B singer and songwriter, Kelly Price and singer-songwriter, Bilal, with additional performances from locals artists and musicians. CHALLENGE GROVE PARK & SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAMMING The beautiful Challenge Grove Park is home to a variety of amenities, all fully accessible, to serve Camden County residents. It features Jake’s Place Playground, walking and bike paths, picnic areas, a pavilion, a basketball court, a softball field and more. Check out Boundless Field, a baseball field that provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to play baseball and other organized sports on a playing surface that can accommodate their special needs. The Challenger League of Cherry Hill and Camden County Miracle League both play baseball on the specially designed field. There are many more activities planned for this year for our residents with special needs: nature walks, arts and crafts, dances, special camps, adaptive rowing and kayak clinics, therapeutic horseback riding lessons, exercise classes, golf lessons, dance lessons, performing arts chorus and bell choir, special needs bike clinic, roller skating, ice skating and more! Camp Sunny Side is a five-week summer camp for individuals with disabilities 13+ years providing activities in art, music, computers, social skills and weekly field trips. Camp is at Camden County College and tuition is $75 per week.

Our Summer Evening Workshop is open to adults 18+ years to train in essential life planning skills and lasts 4 weeks from 6-8 PM at Camden County College. Tuition is $15 per week. This fun-filled event will pay tribute to our veterans, police and first responders. The event will start with a certified 5K road race/walk and a 1 mile fun walk. Participants are encouraged to run or walk with their well-conditioned dogs. All are welcome to the post party which will be like no other! There will be food, music, pawdicures, an animal communicator, demonstrations, and numerous vendors with unique services and items for purchase. The Tri-State K-9 Crisis Response Team is a 501(c) (3) private non-profit organization that is prepared to help victims deal with trauma on an emotional level with our registered and trained dog/handler teams.
