TIMELESS ACTIONS OF NATURE Beautiful landscapes are all around us and are challenging and an extremely rewarding genre of photography. The right light and paying attention to how it falls on the land is essential when creating powerful and meaning landscape images which don’t require any highly specialized equipment, but camera body and a kit lens is more than enough to get started. Nature offers us a huge amount of information – each rock, cloud or waterfall has a story to tell and speaks in a language of its own. It takes patience and conscious effort and the act of photography transports the photographer and the viewer into another world. Each image published in this issue is different and presents timeless actions of nature. It is still up to us to ensure these landscapes remain ecologically sound and environmentally pristine and for future generations. Be kind and aware that we are all guests here and planet earth is here to give us shelter.

ALWAYS ACCESS THE FRONT ROW The Volvo Ocean Race is the World's longest professional sporting event and leading offshore sailing competition. As a Freelance Photographer and because of my relationship with sailing boats, I thought that it would be a nice chance to get involved in this adventure, shooting photos. So, it was time to try out the Camerapixo's Press Card. Artur and Anetta showed great support for my project and backed me up with everything needed in order to obtain from the Volvo Ocean Race organization, my accreditation as a Media Independent Photographer for the event. All media facilities were there for my use and I've met all kind of interesting people and great artists. My accreditation always enabled me to access the front row, where the action was taking place. Thank you Camerapixo for your support!
AMAZING LIGHT HUNTER
STEFAN FORSTER SWITZERLAND Stefan Forster, born in 1986 in Switzerland, is one of the youngest international active Landscape photographers. Since 8 years he is hunting the greatest light to photograph, all over the world. Meanwhile his work has been published in several famous magazines and calendar projects. Compared to photographers who are specialized in certain genres, his field of work is the whole planet. Parallel to his start in professional photography, he is a founder of a photography school in Switzerland which now is one of the biggest photography schools in Switzerland.
Since the beginning of the photocube.ch school, he trained over 3’000 photographers in camera use, photoshop, landscape filter photography and more… For 6 years now he also organized photography journeys to Greenland, Iceland, the USA, Scotland, Namibia, Norway, the Canary Islands and the Antarctica.

EREZ MAROM ISRAEL Born in 1980, Erez Marom is a full-time professional nature photographer based in Israel. Prior to taking up photography, Erez was an active musician for most of his life, underwent academic studies and served as a lecturer in Tel Aviv University and in other Israeli institutes. Fascinated with the intricacy and beauty of the natural world, Erez started his way in the photography world in 2008 and has since become an acclaimed artist, dedicating himself to pursuing his love for travel and nature, and helping other pursue theirs.
In addition to shooting, Erez publishes professional articles and instructional texts in leading magazines and websites, and dedicates a considerable amount of his time to sharing his experience and knowledge, lecturing worldwide and traveling several times a year to guide his unique photography workshops in locations such as Iceland, Norway and Patagonia.

JUAN PABLO DE MIGUEL SPAIN Juan Pablo de Miguel is a photographer from Almería, Spain, with great collections of awe-inspiring versatile landscape photos; all sharing a unique style of his artistic signature. Born in Spain, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, he grew up falling in love with the amazing Andalusia coast. Freelance photographer since 2008, he left his engineering career to pursue his dream and find himself, using photography as a medium for inspiration, and a means to understand the world.
Winner of several international competitions, in 2015 he won a Gold Medal in one of the largest circuits of the World, the Trieremberg Super Circuit, Landscape/ World travel Special Theme. His work has been published in magazine covers, press, albums, puzzles, calendars, private collections, contests exhibitions and travel agencies all around the world.

CHRISTIAN HOIBERG NORWAY Christian Hoiberg is a landscape and nature photographer based in eastern Norway. Combined with his passion for photography, Christian loves traveling and exploring new areas around the world. He normally seeks away from the cities and towards the less populated locations. Christian’s portfolio shows grand landscapes from around the world and often included the element of water. Dramatic beaches or pure landscapes are what attracts him most, but he also enjoys photographing much smaller subjects. Despite being rather fresh in the industry, Christian has had a steep learning curve and built a solid portfolio during the last couple of years.
Besides photographing itself, Christian also finds pleasure in teaching what he has learned himself. Through his website he creates tutorials and articles that aim to improve and motivate photographers of all levels. He is also involved in a variety of photography or travel projects online, such as Norway Travel Guide.

DUARTE SOL PORTUGAL Born in Funchal, Madeira in May 1977, Duarte Sol, is an avid photographer. Passionate about Madeira and photography he tries to complement both. As a good islander he finds inspirations in the landscapes of the island and focuses special attention to his seascapes. Self-taught, Duarte tries to see the common things differently trying to convey feelings that often escape to the most casual observer. Some of the key differentiating elements of his photography are the strong and dynamic compositions and the contrasts and colors through which he tries to transfer emotions and different feelings to each of the viewers of his works.
Duarte got more seriously involved with photography in 2010, mainly capturing precious moments with his family. The subsequent passion with landscape photography grew because of his passion for nature. He thinks that photography for him, is like meditation. It allows Duarte to rejuvenate himself. Also traveling and seeing new places plays a big part in his intense photography activity. He has traveled more intensely within his own country but is planning a big photo trip to Iceland next year. Currently Duarte uses Canon 5d Mark III and primarily the Canon 16-35 F4ISL. Also a ND filter kit is essential to his type of photography.
