Based on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Dino is focused on projects that document Native Hawai’ian and “local” cultural practices throughout the island chain and beyond. His intention is simple... to respectfully document the intricate practices of values, art and spirituality that ultimately share a sense of place, connection and offering.

Each photograph is made with the ultimate purpose to provide the kupuna (elders) and kumus (teachers) with a visual aid to supplement their teachings as they perpetuate the Hawai’ian and local culture with the students of today and children of tomorrow.

mattsuess Matt Suess is an awardwinning photographer whose professional photography career spans over 20 years. He started his career as a photojournalist working in New England in 1990. Published worldwide, some of his credits include: The Associated Press, Boston Herald, Connecticut Post, Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod View Magazine, National Geographic Traveler Magazine, New Haven Register, Sojourns Travel Magazine, and USA Today to name just a few. web

In 2003 Matt was awarded the New England Press Association’s Photographer of the Year Award, an award presented to him for his photojournalist work throughout the entire calendar year as a freelance photographer for the Cape Cod Times newspaper. Matt is a digital photography pioneer, helping bring the first digital cameras to the Connecticut Post Newspaper in the late 1990's. In addition he

also assisted with the implementation and training of the photo staff in the use of digital cameras and equipment at the Cape Cod Times Newspaper in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Since 2003 Matt has been selling his artwork at fine art festivals first in New England and now currently throughout the greater Southwest. In 2006, when he moved to Arizona, he left his career as a photojournalist behind him and has since been a full-time artist.

Since moving to the Southwest, Matt has exhibited his fine art photography in some of the most prestigious juried fine art festivals in CA, AZ, NM, CO, UT, and TX and has gained collectors of his work worldwide. In the summer of 2010 Matt decided to live full-time in his RV to enable him to more easily travel to and from art festivals as well as enable him to be mobile 24/7 in order to continue his photography of the area.

His love of nature and the environment is evident in his photography – grand vistas photographed throughout the Southwest and New England. In addition, Matt started a project in 2011 photographing old cars, gas stations, and other bits of old Americana using HDR techniques that has been very well received, already landing some of his new work for display and purchase in the Scottsdale International Car Museum in Arizona.

living every snaphot click by click

josé antonio moreno As a young boy, his father would take him along to capture the sunrise on film from the mountains on a beautiful island of Puerto Rico. José never forgot the urgent desire to reach the viewfinder of his dad's Canon T-70 camera so that he could take his very first photo.

web

http://www.fotografiamoreno.com

Now, thirty years and nearly as many stories later, with experience in many fields, as a musician, composer, aviation pilot, sound engineer and graphic artist, José has finally reached the height required by that tripod that will open the door to the field of commercial photography.

Beginning with landscape and nature photos, which are his passion, José has acquired the necessary know-how needed to work with his equipment, and presently, operating as FOTOGRAFIA MORENO has enabled him to achieve diversity in this field. Among his works, he has done architectural shoots, fashion,

and of course, events and other particulars. Each photo he takes is a “click” for life; and so he tries to live his life through the art of photography. “living every snapshot click by click.”

the vision comes first

zefram Zefram comes back to photography in 2006, after a 12 years blackout. “A period I needed to focus on my own research” , Zefram says, “and to get rid of the merely aesthetic research (“photography to like”), so to move toward “photography to communicate”, independently of its aesthetic contents”. Zefram thinks that photography, when compared with other forms of figurative communication, is better suited to

But Zefram’s unconscious is not automatic (as is in a surrealistic way): his emotive states are real things of which the observer is aware; they can be seen, felt, touched. vibrant live in a big cities

ludovitpernis Ludovit is from Bratislava, the capital of Slovak Republic and he is 58 years old. Ludovit doesn't have a photographic education. He is a autodidact and his photographic debut dates back to the 60th the last century. As a child he liked to browse the pictures in magazines and publications. He started to photograph with cheap camera from bakelite on 6x6 film.

web

Ludovit's first photo that he processed the contact method. The first enlargements were made with the enlarger, which he has done from plywood, according to the scheme from a Russian magazine. At first he photographed his family, but this didn´t satisfy him. So he started to watch what is happening around him and photographed people and their way of life. The irony is that his first big opportunity was

shooting at occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968. But it did not fare well. On his way home the soldiers stopped him and took away his film. Besides photography, Ludovit was involved in fine arts, especially oil painting, where people inspired him mostly. His photographic passion he has completed by the work in print media, where he worked for four years as a photojournalist. Then he was intensely

devoted to photography only through the holidays as a traveler. The magic of photos has reappeared again in the year 2010 when he started to photograph with Leica M9. With this camera he makes photos of daily life on the streets of his hometown Bratislava and vibrant life in a big cities of the world, which always fascinates him.

ing and a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Northeastern University. He also has an MBA from McGill University. With all of these degrees and a great GPA, Waseem found a home for himself working for Google. When Waseem is not working hard, he is traveling. Travel is indeed his passion. With travel came his other passion photography. His travels

took him to hundreds of cities and villages across the globe, and from those places he brings back to you his photos. As for his style of photography, you will notice that the human element is almost always portrayed in his photos. To be able to capture this essential element, his choice of lens changes depending on the cultural definition of personal space. When he travels in Eastern countries, Waseem relies

on his 50mm fixed lense. When he travels in Western countries, Waseem relies on his 70-200mm zoom lens. You’re in “Back Seat Tourism”. Let Waseem take you around and show you the great moments of his travels. This particular set is from his travels in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Turkey, Jordan, France and Oman. Enjoy being in “Back Seat Tourism”.

simple and elegant compositions

younesbounhar "It’s quite simple: I eat, sleep and breathe photography." It wasn’t always like this, but the last few years have changed Younes' life for the better. He now... gets up at crazy hours, goes out in the rain, snow or sleet, falls into rivers, runs away from waves, drives himself to the border of exhaustion, but most of all he has a blast doing it all!

web

The work presented here is from a recent series of images called “Contrasts”, a personal project where Younes has been trying a different slant on his landscape photography. The images he makes for this project aim to distill the essence of the landscape through the use of simple and elegant compositions that focus on form and contrast.

everything can be a great subject

stefanopedroni Stefano was born near Milan in 1976 and he has been passionate about travel and photography ever since he can remember. He came from a family of adventurers who took him around the world at every possible opportunity. His passion for photography started here and has grown ever since. After graduating in Tourism, Stefano left Italy and worked in the tourism industry to sustain his travels in various places web

including, Senegal, Greece, Egypt. Eventually his work took him to Mexico where he discovered his other passion, cave diving, and he remained in the Yucatan Peninsula for the following 11 years. Throughout these years, Stefano became an avid photographer all the while learning and self teaching where ever he could. But, as it used to happen back then, the high cost of developing the films was preventing him from

Photography became his priority after leaving Mexico and moving to British Columbia, Canada for one year. Fate then brought him back to Italy where Stefano has been for the last two years.

and landscape photography the most but Stefano believes everything can be a great subject, from an old factory to a beautiful mountain scene. If a good photographer is in that special photo mood, any scene can be interpreted artistically resulting in a great shot.

Photography means a lot to him. Stefano is not very artistic in any other field, he doesn’t paint, draw or play music. He finds photography and writing the best ways to express himself.

Stefano would love photography to become his only source of income, Stefano thinks if you are to be able to dedicate as creative you can take the much time as he can to it beauty, the sadness, the and deliver some fantastic His photographic inspira- joy or any other emotion pictures of the world the tion is simply the world you want to express out of way he sees it. around him. he loves travel anything.
