Also I would like to invite you to International Young Photography Festival. It is the first and only photo event in Podkarpackie on such a large scale. In fact it is only one in Poland, Photography Festival, where the main program is to present the work of often unnoticed until now young photography amateur.

The event was part of this year’s celebration of the 85th Jubilee Anniversary of the Institute of Aviation.

Institute of Aviation

History of the Institute of Aviation, passion, commitment, knowledge and experience of its employees can not be decribed in just a few words. This is a story of 85 years of research, creating new visions, intensive discussions, from which the whole history of Polish aviation emerges. Institute of Aviation is one of the oldest research institutions in Europe, was founded in 1926. Through 85 years scientists and engineers working at the Institute of Aviation have made outstanding contributions to the development of Polish economy and defense. Their achievements have had a huge impact on the development of aviation design and technology in the world. Currently, the Institute of Aviation is one of the most modern research centers in Poland and abroad. The core of the Institute is created by a young, highly qualified engineers and modern laboratories that meet the highest requirements of the largest companies in the field of aviation and mining technologies have any international certifications and accreditations. The Institute operates a total of more than 1,500 engineers, scientists, researchers. The average age of 900 of them is 30 years old. Institute of Aviation is a member of many international organizations and associations dealing with issues of aviation. The Institute is also the organizer of international conferences, symposium and moderator of global research projects. The facility is divided into four substantive divisions: New Technology Centre implements large innovative projects with partners of the European Union. It specializes in two areas: aviation and space travel light. Engineering Design Center works through a strategic partnership with General Electric. It specializes in expertise and research of development in the field of aviation jet engines and related areas. Center for Materials Research and Construction provides services in research of materials and structures, heavily loaded mechanically and thermally. A significant number of certified homogeneous positions puts the Center in first place in Poland. Net Institute acts in the area of network projects, promoting knowledge, education and future promising forms of activity. The main areas of research of the Institute are: space technology, aircraft engines and missiles, materials, aerodynamics, composite technology, design and testing of aircraft structures, airport noise. The Institute employees publish their achievements, disseminate knowledge and promote the engineering profession through publishers such as: “The work of the Institute of Aviation”, “Journal of KONES”, “Journal of Polish - American Science and Technology”, “Research Library of the Institute of Aviation”, “Library Historical. “ The Institute also conducts a nationwide program to promote the engineering profession, “The era of the engineer.” The mission of the Institute of Aviation is to provide the highest quality research services to global market research.

Historii Instytutu Lotnictwa, pasji, zaangażowania, wiedzy i doświadczenia jego pracowników nie da się zamknąć w kilku słowach. To historia 85 lat badań, tworzenia nowych wizji, gorących dyskusji, z których wyłania się historia całego polskiego lotnictwa. Instytut Lotnictwa należy do najstarszych placówek badawczych w Europie, powstał w roku 1926. Przez 85 lat działalności naukowcy i konstruktorzy pracujący w Instytucie Lotnictwa wnieśli wybitne zasługi dla rozwoju gospodarki i obronności Polski. Ich osiągnięcia miały też ogromny wpływ na rozwój konstrukcji i technologii lotniczych na świecie. Obecnie Instytut Lotnictwa należy do najnowocześniejszych placówek badawczych w Polsce i na świecie. Trzon Instytutu tworzy młoda, wysoko wykwalifikowana kadra inżynierska oraz nowoczesne laboratoria spełniające najwyższe wymagania największych firm z zakresu lotnictwa i technologii wydobywczych posiadające wszelkie międzynarodowe certyfikaty i akredytacje. W Instytucie pracuje łącznie ponad 1500 inżynierów, naukowców, badaczy. Z tego 900 w wieku ok. 30 lat. Instytut Lotnictwa jest członkiem wielu międzynarodowych organizacji oraz stowarzyszeń zajmujących się tematyką lotniczą. Instytut jest również organizatorem międzynarodowych konferencji, sympozjów, moderatorem globalnych przedsięwzięć badawczych. Placówka dzieli się na cztery piony merytoryczne: Centrum Nowych Technologii realizuje duże projekty innowacyjne wspólnie z partnerami Unii Europejskiej. Specjalizuje się w dwóch obszarach: lotnictwo lekkie oraz kosmonautyka. Engineering Design Center współpracuje w ramach partnerstwa strategicznego z firmą General Electric. Specjalizuje się w ekspertyzach i pracach badawczo-rozwojowych w zakresie lotniczych silników odrzutowych oraz dziedzin pokrewnych. Centrum Badań Materiałów i Konstrukcji świadczy usługi w zakresie badań materiałów i struktur wysoko obciążonych mechanicznie i cieplnie. Znacząca ilość certyfikowanych stanowisk jednorodnych stawia go na pierwszym miejscu w Polsce. Net Instytut działa w sferze projektów sieciowych, promocji wiedzy, edukacji i przyszłych, perspektywicznych form aktywności. Głównymi obszarami badawczymi Instytutu są: technologie kosmiczne, silniki lotnicze i rakietowe, materiałoznawstwo, aerodynamika, technologie kompozytowe, projektowanie i badanie konstrukcji lotniczych, hałas lotniczy.
