underwater art photography

rafałmakieła Rafał Makieła is 38 years old, from Wroclaw. His photography began 8 years ago, the impulse of interest in this field of art was the birth of his daughter Maksymilianna. The desire to immortalize every day of her life led to his interest in photography. And so it became his passion. Slowly Rafał learned following the best photographers and practicing constantly.

He was looking for theme of expression in different fields of photography. Finally one day he came across the pictures of Zena Holloway and he decided to accomplish something as spectacular as her pictures (Rafał still follows the best). At the moment Rafał does professional underwater photography, advertising and artistic wedding photography.

Despite the fact that in reality he has used an extreme shift lens, or that he has stitched many images together and had spent a lot of time manually blending in blown-out highlights.

Ambition So far Xavier has mostly kept his photos to himself and shared them only on Flickr, his website and occasionally selling non-exclusive prints for advertising. His dream is to publish a book of Hong Kong night photography one day, so he is building a large library of images to that purpose. At a later stage Xavier would love to become a full-time photographer.

julie de waroquier Julie is 22 year-old french photographer, also student in philosophy at the Ecole Normale SupĂŠrieure. Four years ago, she got in photography quite randomly, but now it has become a true passion.

Indeed, Julie enjoys the contradiction of the art of photography, this is firstly a technique which copies reality, while art is all creation and invention. Photography thus becomes fascinating, how can one create, re-create Her pictures are a mixture reality and what is seen, of fantasizing, surrealism with an art which precisely and conceptualism. world as it could be rather than as it is. Julie does not want silent pictures. She wants to let dreamlike images and symbols speak, she wants to show how meaningful a picture can be.

Julie is probably mainly inspired by myths, tales, and by artists and writers such as Freud, Perrault, Magritte, and la Comtesse de SĂŠgur.

During the past years, Julie De Waroquier has Julie doesn't really know been achieving several where her inspiration projects such as collective comes from. uniqueness of feelings

denisbuchel Thirty-two years ago he was born in Moldova. After almost ten years in Israel, since 2009 Denis has been living in Bulgaria. He works as a photojournalist in a weekly newspaper. Denis started with photography in 2007, when he bought his first point and shoot camera. At the beginning, Denis took photos as an amateur only. Step by

step, photography started obsessing him. From time to time he thought he was going crazy, because only photography was in his mind – Denis woke up with thoughts about photography, he fell asleep with thoughts about photography, he could not even speak to people who were not occupied with photography. Now, when it turned into, if he can say it so, a way of life, Denis

realized that photography let him understand what he is. Precisely “what” and not “who”, because when you ask “Who am I?”, you examine yourself only materially and superficially. And if you ask yourself “What am I?”, the answer is deeply philosophical, concentrated on your own consciousness, sensation and perceptions of human essence.

Most of all Denis likes taking pictures that show things from real life – photos with stories behind, with human presence. Through a photo only he tries to show the real Self of the person that stays in front of his camera, it does not matter if he is familiar or a complete stranger. Denis wants to take out what is deeply hidden under the simple physical cover – the body. However, Denis has

enjoyed taking photos of dogs even more recently. In contrast with people, they do not either lie, or conceal mean thoughts. Some of Denis photos have appeared in Moldova, Israel, Russia, China and Bulgaria. Whether blackand-white or coloured, they bring the uniqueness of feelings. This is really important for a photo – to make everyone stop and think for a second, to make

intricate knowledge of the city

jeffaustin Jeff Austin was born in a small rural town in Ontario, Canada. Small town life was full stories to tell and ultimately led Jeff to Film School. Although he was studying motion picture photography, it was long nights in the editing room where he realized that movies in there simplest form were telling the story one frame of film at a time.

After that moment he quit film school and began his career in still photography. The journey has led from small town Canada to big city Japan, in Tokyo. Jeff has photo and printing studio in Tokyo, which he uses as home base for his company. The kanji reads Jinsei, meaning life or way of life. Jeff views his work as his life art or his

When he is on the road Jeff shoots the beautiful landscapes of Japan and has been fortunate photograph both commercial and private architecture all across the country. However Jeff is most at home on the street.

“Street photography is the passion I always return too after commercial work. A great street photo is highest high I have felt as a photographer.” Jeff often spends every off day walking the streets Tokyo. His intricate knowledge of the city is paying dividends for others as he frequently teaches local photographers his shooting and

workflow techniques. Jeff also provides tours of Tokyo for photographers visiting the city. Most recently Jeff has been leading a monthly photowalks in Tokyo for Google+ photographers. “Next to the feeling of taking a great shot, helping someone else achieve the same level of greatness is just as good.”

love of form, light and composition

markboyle Mark started taking photographs when he was in school and it is probably the one thing that has consistently been apart of his life since. He studied fine art photography at the Photography Studies College in Melbourne in his early twenties. Graduating with a high distinction. After a short hiatus Mark embarked on a career as a commercial photographer

which lasted for about ten years. During that time he learnt a lot about being a professional photographer and found much of it was killing his passion for photography. For the past twelve years Mark has been working in the web development and web project management industry while continuing to pursue his photography as an important personal outlet.

It enables Mark to always see the world around him as though it was for the first time. It is always fresh with new things to see everywhere. Photo-impressionism allows her to express feelings without having to say a word. It allows her to put down thoughts, dreams, and fleeting moments in time, when a small change

She plays with colour and uses it almost as if it were the subject itself, which, in a way, it is, at least in photography. Light is colour.

He’s also a teacher at a design institute and planner of diverse artistic events and markets in Valencia, his actual city. The documentary work is also a very important part of his portfolio. Friends, travels, his girlfriend, students; all of this is a good source for great images. Light and inspiration is all he need to make a photograph.

He’s a big fan of Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Jaime Ibarra, Michael Helms, Rebecca Tillett, Akif Hakan Celebi. Every single girl turns to be the perfect model to photograph. There are no excuses to not think about it. The woman’s body is for him, the most beautiful subject for photography.

Hubert has been trying to get as much knowledge as he could. He has also met a lot of friends with the same passion, more experienced, helpful in giving very important photographic advices. Hubert has tried to take as much photographs as he could to get better his experience, thereby verifying his skills. Living in Ireland, called by many as the Green Island, helped him to discover the beauty of surrounding landscape, which became

To do so, he has purchased graduated neutral density filters from LEE, which are also helpful in different conditions, when he faces dynamic range of light (sunrise/ sunset). Post-processing usually is short and simple as Hubert tries to show places the same way he has seen them. Software, such as Nikon Capture NX2 and Photoshop Elements are quite important in his works.
