Peru is without doubt one of the most attractive countries in Latin America. The ecological and cultural diversity, impressive variety of its landscapes, cheerful character of its people, historically rich cities and beautiful archaeological monuments, all combine to make Peru unique among the world’s nations. Situated on the central West Coast of South America, Peru offers an immense variety of landscapes and climates, as a result of the peculiarities of its geographical location. This was also the site of the richest development of pre-Columbian civilizations, characteristically complex societies which achieved extremely high levels of civilization in terms of their architecture, textiles, stock rearing, ceramics, gold and silver work, and in many other ways. The city of Lima, founded in 1535, is the capital of Peru. Located in the central coast region, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Lima is home to approximately 9 million people. In Lima, the past and the present are interwoven, and the archaeological remains of ancient civilizations form part of this modern and cosmopolitan city. 2

great friends, great teachers thanks to many facilities that the university has given us. It is a university with a high level and commitment to its students and provides many opportunities to develop both inside and outside the classroom.”.

Laura Canela

Universitat de Barcelona, Spain

“With a friendly, inclusive and diverse student community,

the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú is amazing, the professors are passionate and experts in their field, contributing to the academic formation of the students. The campus offers many services, which facilitate the experience in Peru. “

Tobias Rodrigues

Utrech University, Holland

“Studying at PUCP helped to expand my academic interests in areas where my home university does not cover. For example, the university

offers the possibility of participating in conferences with professors from other disciplines, which allows me to know new perspectives in current debates. In addition, the relationship between teachers and students is quite close, creating a more horizontal environment during my learning in class.
